The chat automatically closes after inactivity by agent (even if they requested time to continue), you can’t copy the text (like messages you wrote, which you evidently need to resend), and the loading states are non-existent. Developer who created this app should be embarrassed.

Why app designed for business does not support MDM management and singe sign on. Why email verification page does not work on mobile? Product management even tried at least once to setup app? It is impossible! Such world wide brand as Amex should not to release such crap if cares about own reputation.

I can’t even open the app. It closes immediately every time I open it.

This is just a pathetic browser wrapped as an app. Sadly nothing syncs between the profile you select and the booking system. Made it all the way to check out and nothing but my name and email transferred. Asked support and they said they manually synced it but no credit card nor any loyalty cards came through. Oh and in this app links to add them at check out is broken. Waste of time.

Amex claims to be best in travel agency, well. Cannot even log in. Useless. Entered work email address then takes you to a page where we cannot enter anything. Just read pages. Useless. Deleted the app. Just call Amex GBT. Lets see how they perform compare to other travel agencies.

Knowing how well Amex does, I would expect a better user experience, particularly with the chat feature. To get an agent, I have no estimate of wait time, agents can’t see my previous responses, and I can’t copy and paste text.

The chat function lags and you don’t see updates from the agent in some cases. But they do manage to bill you even if the chat does not work.

Fresh install of application and it prompts for my email address with no password field. If I press Next after entering email address it tells me my user ID or password is incorrect but it never gave me the chance to enter password. I then try the sign up link thinking maybe I don’t have account and it tells me my account already exists with that email address and I need to change my password with a password change button. Unfortunately, the change password button does not work and I tried this on my iPhone and iPad. So now I am stuck as there is no option to change password or forgot password from login screen.

App is poorly designed. Menus drop out of view and search function is too narrow

When chatting with an agent to change a travel reservation I have to force close and reopen the app for it to display the agents messages. It makes using the chat feature extremely frustrating.
