This is the second app that made me make my habits better
I was surprised when I saw the 1 year free trial, and I thought that I should definitely buy a lifetime subscription for this due to how useful it is and how kind the devs here are in this app. I appreciate it. Life has been stressful but balance has helped a lot to get me back together. Kudos to the Balance Team!
During the pandemic, I was really down. So, I looked for a meditation app, and found this. Although I was only on a free trial, Balance helped me a lot — not having myself completely drawn to my negative thoughts. It saved me literally. Until now, even though I stopped using this, I could still apply what they have taught me, and are still effective.
I was skeptical on meditating until I tried using this app. It really has changed my life. I suffer with ADHD and depression. Now, I’m not saying this will cure any of that but meditating has greatly improved my condition. I don’t think I can go a day without it. An added bonus is Ofosu’s voice, it’s just so calming and makes you believe everything will be ok. Those who haven’t tried meditating, give this a try. You get a free year anyway. It has changed mine for the better and I thank all those involved in the development of this app.
I actually play their app “Elevate”. Then I saw this latest release app pre-pandemic and gave it a shot. Its not one of the best, IT IS THE BEST meditation app I have tried. The best thing is that it changes techniques or ways to mediation as you go further with them. It not always gonna be the same everyday. Honestly, with the benefit it gives and its effectiveness. This is worth your penny. I actually tried to challenge my sibling and friends to try to be awake the whole time when we listen to the sleep meditation, none made it through and it made our sleep better and more relaxed.
I absolutely love this app. It has helped me in the ways it promised — improved focus, helped in productivity, and guided to better — but when I moved to a new device, all my progress had been erased. I mind the dates less and more that the app already “knew” me a bit, which meant I’d have to retake certain meditation sessions to be asked those questions again. Other than this, I think the app is great!
This is the best app I had so far! You can get a free subscription for a year and you will have an option to either purchase a yearly sub or a lifetime sub. It has lots of different meditation and has even plans that you can use depending on your needs. I will defo buy the lifetime sub soon.
Of all the meditation app in the market right now, Balance really is the one that stuck with me and motivated me to keep coming back. Way too unique, personalized, non-Generative AI, non-repetitive and really encouraging, compared to Calm and Endel of the world. Maybe its because no BS user interface, meditation course that really guides you, or was it calming Ofuso’s voice or the stellar scriptwriting grounded in empathy, compassion to the listener or encouragement for you to keep going and keep coming back. Maybe that’s what it is. Not every offering there worked for me though, and that is okay. Like the Sleep or Walking Singles (which is I really tried hard to get behind with) not everything there will work for your lifestyle. I am more than satisfied that it helped me on Focus, Productivity and Work Stress and I will keep coming back to it until I was able to climb up the Meditation skill tree and finished the very last Advanced course. This app really is future of guided meditation apps. The only thing I think it is missing are social features, so you can connect, examine, compete or motivate other Balance friends you referred this service to them. Personally, I’d like to see my girlfriend’s progress in meditation and us competing on who’s the most consistent. I think that would be awesome to Balance in the future. Another thing that I am thinking about the future of Balance is some experimentation on Generative AI. Where along with curated, recorded sessions of Meditation courses and singles, what if an LLM model can be trained on the Balance scriptwriting and understanding, and also with Ofusu’s and Leah’s voice, where it could literally be the most ultra personalized, ultra meta meditation experience. And it all lives right in your phone. Maybe Balance can also dabble with Generative Music as well like Endel. So I can literally have a Focus Music or Lo-Fi Music that literally is ever changing everytime I go back to it. All happens locally, not streaming. Lastly, I think Balance should start to record or remaster all of its content offering to Spatial Audio from now on. Imagine a Balance meditation in a Head tracked Spatial Audio with AirPods. I would literally not use any other Focus / Meditation app anymore
I like how this app portioned realistically the meditation sessions. It’s not too long nor short but rather each meditation is attainable even if you are busy. My favorite is the breath work because it taught me how to focus more and I can now fall asleep quickly through the help of the sleep meditation series.
it helps me a lot to calm myself
