Just doesn’t do what it should. A nightmare to use
Please make this an Apple Watch complication
I don’t get it I really don’t Get the app improved will you or won’t How can a company with so much cash And diabetes equipment so flash Have an app that is absolutely crap Immediately with it scrap And get one that works It doesn’t really need loads of perks One that doesn’t disconnect all the time These words don’t even need to rhyme Medtronic sort yourselves out A working app is what it’s about People rely on you to have in place An app that’s at least up with the pace Not one that’s in the dark ages Now COME ON !!! We pay your darn wages !
I am beyond frustrated with this app. It would be wonderful if it did what it is supposed to do but it won’t stay connected beyond 1 day. Constantly losing connection with pump, so complicated to reconnect. It is so awful to have the promise of something so good to help with my child’s condition to have it fail so badly.
We have been using this app for months now but now it’s not working properly. I contacted Medtronic for help but no response. They have to make sure this works properly and safely. They have to be more serious about their products and make sure customers are happy. I send the emails and emails no response To the Medtronic IT team please make sure you fix the problem because people rely on it.
This app is really bad. My husband and I rely on it to monitor our son’s diabetes. It stops working frequently- at the moment we have been unable to connect since Friday morning, it is now 4pm on Monday and still the app isn’t working. This time deleting the app after a few days and re-installing hasn’t worked. For an app that is a medical necessity, it is terrible (and dangerous). As previous reviewers have said there are free games apps that are more stable. We initially had a choice between a Medtronic system and a Roche one , seems we made a bad choice there. I really hope the nhs is receiving refunds on costs for the amount of downtime.
Criminally bad app. Having worked on large apps for leading tech companies I am staggered that more light is not being shed on the shockingly unreliable tech that has been sold into the NHS by large medical companies like Medtronic. It is a scandal. The time and money wasted by NHS healthcare professionals trying to support people with this must be massive. As a parent of a Type 1 child this app has caused more harm, anger and frustration than is possible to express here. It works around 20% of the time and has clearly not been properly user tested, is nowhere near robust enough to be released to market, has woeful levels of faceless tech support available and has been rushed to market in order to win lucrative contracts. I urge anyone who shares my frustration to complain and publish on social media to force some action or media interest.
Such an important app to monitor my daughters type 1, yet constant crashes for 2 months and the company does nothing. Daughter is fed up with it and asked NHS to move back to old pump. Just look at star rating if thinking about switching to this!
For a medical app, the company running it, Medtronic, should be incredibly embarrassed with its performance. It’s one thing scamming people for £40 per sensor, but to then have such poor app performance. Not a day goes by without an ‘unable to connect to server’ issue, sometimes, like this weekend, it has been unusable. This app is used to check my child’s BG levels. Maybe they try and invest some of the extorted costs from your consumables back into the IT side of things. Their ‘help desk’ is an absolute joke, the long running ‘supply issues’ for sensors is met with “go and borrow some from your local hospital”. Such rude advisors. We have had 4 bad sensors in the last 6 months. Their response “you are not installing them properly, and not having a replacement. £160 gone. If you have an option, research an alternate diabetes product, there’s no way they can be as bad as Medtronic.
Constant message saying app can’t connect to server. Over 12 hours now without any data from my child. Very frustrating - fab tech let down by coding issues with the software
