CTEK Battery Sense

After the update, the app gets stuck for minutes. Got slower, already a slow app. I appreciate that they are still supporting but it seems they don’t do enough regression tests before release.

I’ll be removing and replacing all of my Monitors with something more reliable. Unfortunately this product is plagued with app issues.

The app and associated device just really never work as intended. Had me chasing a phantom battery drain. After considerable amount spent at car dealer and auto electricians it turns out there was no draw and the app and associated battery monitor just have useless data that is mostly in error. Really wish it would just work and be accurate. Especially inaccurate is the SOC reading or estimation.

Can’t accept terms and conditions on the initial setup screen, so there’s nowhere left to go. This app needs to be decommissioned. Don’t buy the hardware.

We now have CTEK Battery Sense monitors on 4 vehicles and an electric start chipper. Incredibly helpful to have months of charge state data for each battery - know exactly when to charge with our CTEK MX 5 chargers and we can tell which batteries are getting close to replacement. We’re on iOS 15 and have no connection or transmission problems. Have an acquaintance on Android who has problems. I do wish the resolution on the vertical axis of the graphs in app could be zoomed. State of charge and temperature are moderately useful, but the fixed range of 0 to 25 for voltage is useless for a 12 volt system.

App does what it’s meant to do, if the temperature scale could be increased to 120F it would be perfect. Celsius does not appear to have this issue.

It's time to update the App! More features should be include and have much nicer graphics! Such a company like Ctek will fall into discredit with this poor app!

I’ve had two vehicles hooked up for about 1.5 years and the only useful information I get from the app is the percentage of battery charge. The graphs are completely useless and mostly when I open the app they are date from a year back. The app is also very slow and lethargic. It’s like whomever wrote this did not know what they were doing. Very bad experience.

I bought one of these sensors for the auxiliary battery on my Genesis dual battery system in my Jeep. I tried and tried but could not get it to register the voltage though it new it was connected to a battery. I returned it to Amazon thinking it was a bad unit and they sent another. Same result. Have tried every setting, both batteries, my wife’s Jeep…nothing.
