One of our shared albums shows up as a new, unviewed album every time we leave the app. Multiple other shared albums send us to the top (beginning of the photos) or some random point from the album weeks ago rather than bringing us to the latest photos like it used to and still does on other albums.
Tasks like adding a photo to an album that used to take me 2 seconds now take 45-60 seconds because I have to tap and scroll through so many layers of nonsense. Why are albums buried in one more layer but documents are front and center? Who actually uses Google Photos for documents? I am ashamed that I recommended this app to so many people.
I’ve used this app for for years, now its freezing up. Why? I’ve had to restart 2 times already… I don’t want keep doing it, either.
If there was a way for me to rate this 0 stars I would. It is a SCAM. It basically eats all of your space so that you cannot get emails anymore unless you pay them more money. If you want to delete photos out of google photos to free up storage, you must do it one photo at a time! When you try to delete photos from google photo, it then attempts to delete them DIRECTLY FROM YOUR PHONE as well! AVOID AVOID AVOID!
Hey maybe make a way to unsync from your iPhone so that my storage isn’t all taken up by this garbage? I downloaded this malware to view a shared album and now every single photo and video is on Google photos, taking up 80gb of storage, and now I have to manually delete them. Disgusting piece of malware, do not use, just use iCloud instead.
Finally a photo cloud that saves all photos taken and it preserves photos if deleted from hardrive
The app has always worked great until about a month ago. Now when I open a shared album it opens to photos added a month ago not the most recent. Please fix this!

3 YR UPDATE: Oh wait, it's exactly the same. Devs are still idiots Look, I don't need every single photo loaded on to my iPad to be backed up to Google. They're going on my iPad to be culled and edited. The ones I export are the ones I want to keep. So tell me where the "Photos on this device" section went so I can stop you from backing up that folder. Just give me the exact same app I have on my Pixel. It would make sense, right? Not to devs. You guys don't use your own apps, and it shows.
