Google Photos: Backup & Edit

Refuses to work without full access permission.

Google photos is extremely invasive app. If You are in apple ecosystem, just stick to it. I need to share some photos to google photos so i am occasionally forced to use this. If ju adjust date and time of a photo in native apple photos, google photos will not adjust the time, it will use the time that it remembers. If You add photos to shared album it takes time to upload (which is fine), but if You decide to change what You want to upload halfway, it completely messes up everything to a point where I needed to delete all my uploads from shared album and I cant reupload them because this app thinks that they are already uploaded. And when You delete photo from google photos, it will delete that photo from your native photos app. Not to mention that if multiple persons add photos to the same shared album, it does not automatically sort from newest to oldest (or vice versa). It only does recently added which is ****** up. Creator of the album has to manually sort the photos each time someone posts something new. So seriously, if You are not forced to use this app at the gunpoint, avoid it. It wants to be your single go-to photos app but lacks basic funcionalities to be capable of that. You already have iphone or ipad, seriously just stick to the native app which is much more sensible

Im using this app for many years on my iPhone and they still didn’t resolve an issue where a photo is uploaded just partially, in low quality. Apparently the upload should continue after this partial upload till the full quality of the photo is on the cloud. The problem is that you don’t see any progress bar and many times the photos are not uploaded in full quality at all and you don’t even get notification about it! Shame! Unfortunately I have to cancel my subscription and look for other vendor.

be careful because your photos and albums in google clou can dissapear! I have paid version of google One, and have many albums (some of them for sharing) but last time after updates of this app by google, my photos and albums are dissapear. There is ni Albums in collections and whem I’m trying to upload photos, it is not possible to add into the album because all are gone! I asked friends uf they see my shared albums and they see them but just their covers.

The app icons still shows me a red notification badge and I have no idea how to resolve it. There’s nothing in the Notification Center or in the app itself. Same thing happens on iPadOS Edit: 1 star, when I open the app through the widget it shows me an ad for Google features

Уже какой раз я пытаюсь отправить себе фото с другого телефона в общий альбом сохранив live photo! На одном телефоне отображаются все фото, на другом же ничего нет и ничего не видно!!! Вы издеваетесь???!??! Исправьте проблему!!!

where dissapear cloud icon at photos which I upload to google photos? omg now I dont know thich photo from my iPhone is uploadet or not 🤦‍♂️

Is it really necessary, for an additional information window to pop up every time I want to delete a photo? It's quite annoying and it has not been fixed in several updates.
