I’m so sick of this app just crashes constantly

Terrible app

I used to love this app but am now going to cancel my subscription. You’re allowed to install the app on at least 5 platforms so you can access it on your tv or iPad but lately it only works on my phone. Really disappointing as I’ve been using this app for years and didn’t have any issues with it up until the last few months. And yes, I’ve tried every avenue of reinstalling, signing in & out, etc. I’m just wasting my money at this points so I strongly advise the rest of you not to!

Always crashing, sometimes plays in the background without screen being visible, great shows and content but terrible app. Sadly will not be renewing subscription when it runs out.

All my favourite shows are on this App so unfortunately I have to grin and bear it. Where do I even start - Always problems with trying to cast it to my tv. When you do get to cast it, you cannot go back in to the app to pause it/rewind it/turn the subtitles on or off. The only way you can do that is to restart the app, turn the tv off and back on and recast the same episode again (while the other episode continues to play in the background, causing more problems) The app is constantly freezing or else getting ‘oops’ messages about one problem or another. You pay for the app yet have to watch ads. Again, it is the only app that has all these reality shows on it so they have a captive audience and are in no rush to go fixing problems anytime soon.

Hayu definitely has the best range of reality tv shows there is and I love that. However the app works perfectly fine for a week then won’t work for a week so it’s not very reliable. If you’re binging a show you watch a couple of episodes of that show and you get a notification saying and unknown error occurred. But you can watch literally anything else. I’ve contacted them previously but got no reply. Only reason I keep it is cause I’ve to keep up with the housewives 😂

Constant issues, I’ve never seen so many problems and errors in an app.

I’ve used Hayu on and off for years, there have always been serious faults with the app (basically doesn’t work most of the time). This time I subscribed through Apple, however when I log in through Apple it tells me I have to subscribe again, even though I’ve already paid for it and can see the active subscription on my Apple account. The customer service is nonexistent. You have to message them on Twitter, yet you have to pay for Twitter to send them a DM. Can’t get a refund.

Soooo bad, have reluctantly been using it on and off for about 4 years now, I always cancel the subscription after a while because I get so frustrated with the loading issues in browser and app. Constantly throws me out mid episode and shows the same error. It’s nothing to do with my devices as I get the same issue with every device and it’s been the same reason I eventually cancel my subscription after a few weeks for the last 4 years. I’ve emailed them about it but nothing has changed, the only reason I come back sometimes and renew the subscription is because certain shows I watch I can’t find anywhere else. If I can find another similar platform I will switch but I’m yet to find any. This is the main issue but (as someone with a background in computer science) the app and browser version are very badly designed overall, so many other small things that are frustrating to the user.
