HSBC UK Mobile Banking

The customer service are unfortunately not clear with clients giving fake answers & promises that are never fulfilled. As I chat with them from Egypt, they pretended several times that they send me my reissued premier credit card as mine was lost, I tried the process almost 4 times with them over the chat and every-time I stay like 45 min with a promise that they made an order to send the reissued card and nothing comes, today I confirmed my doubts and asked for a new global debit card and it easily came in less than a week, so my address was never an issue as they always replied ( oh we are sorry , it seems there is an issue with your address and I keep spelling it for them) , if you are a respectful bank and you do not want to reissue a card for a client , just be clear and respectful with your refusal and its justification not all these fake stories!!!! I was always regular in my credit payments and even I used to pay them all in one shot many times.

The app was exceptional the only challenge was the maximum no of characters requirement in the payment reference which would not match the payee requirement college fees not sure if increasing the number of characters would involve huge IT investment but if not would be very helpful to do

Security on my card is appalling as I’ve literally had money that I haven’t spent going out and have had no notifications from the app or bank saying so

Amazing little online app, great access 24/7 to check all bank transactions incoming and outgoings, also quick easy access to money an so easy to make online transactions that are paid instantly in the comfort of your own home or wherever you maybe!! So easy to to it’s amazing. You can also get a global account added to it too and not only that every account has a savings account attached and u can make new saver goals now as well it’s fantastic..

I have been using the banking app for a long period now and it is good. But the reason why I have given a 3 star, is because I was forced to complain too a staff member last year 2023. How the payee’s payment format review needs to communicate a [date] and [time] whenever a payment is actioned to a payee after approval. Barclays excellently done well in such areas and has introduced a share feature whereby the accountholder can now share the payee’s payment details showing the time and date the payment was created and the payment can be transmitted to the payee’s WhatsApp Account or reserved as proof of receipt on the AccountHolder’s WhatsApp Account for evidence and a peace of mind. That is something to work on. Thanks for the chance to write this review.

I resisted online banking for years because I didn’t trust its security, well actually that’s not true, I didn’t trust my security. I didn’t trust myself to come up with a memorable password that a good hacker could not crack. But with branches closing left, right and centre I had to bite the bullet. And I have to say that having finally done so my banking life is so much easier. I just wish the app would allow Apple Strong Passwords.

Nice app able to do a lot on it. But I miss my local branch . For that human touch and able to pay in lose money. Shame hsbc closed branch.

This HSBC gives me total control of my accounts…😎

Very Satisfied

The app works well but it can be difficult to navigate, and isn’t intuitive. The fact that transactions can’t be downloaded to use in budgeting, even in a .csv file, is quite disappointing.
