My Cloud Home

Unfortunately this is not as users friendly as previous iterations of the app. I used to be able to add and manage multiple drives on the app but now it does not offer me the ability. Further more since purchasing a new larger (4TB) my cloud I’ve not been able to access it through my Mac network settings. I added a drive to the drive and selected the data transfer (which it did as I can see through my phone) but I can not see / view the files via my Mac book and it keeps saying I’m on relay network. What a total waste of money. Where once I swore by WD, I think now times may have changed. Your Customer service options are not much to desire either. Very disappointing.

Don’t know why got rid of online storage

This is the most dreadful service where they change things without warning and remove facilities we pay for. The number of times I cannot log into my drives because they change something is ridiculous. My phone backs up to the drive but can I restore it from there after I locked it up, no I can’t. Add to that file manager no longer works and I now have to use Safari to manage files and all it is is a very low performing html file manager. Wish I’d never invested in the drives I have because both changed to reduced capability in a short space of time.

Works really well however on iPhone sometimes the controls across the top of a page will not work

Unable to click on Add , Cancel once media is selected; as app expands to top header and these options overlap with time & battery widgets on iPhone new series.

Great app and great device but an update is needed for the dynamic island on iphone 14s and above. The back button isnt great and often doesnt work

Overall, it works as expected with a 4TB WD Home NAS. Could be better, though, as it’s very rudimentary. I miss some advanced features that could maybe help to organise the files and media better, as right now, it’s a chaos. What I don’t like is that apart from the direct file structure taken from Google Photos and Drive, the rest needs to be done manually and I can’t select a bulk of images to create new folders. It gives me the option of selecting files day by day. Could be nice if there was some algorithm or AI involved. Also, I can’t access folders created on my MacBook from my phone.

This is just proof that newer doesn’t always mean better. It takes ages for the files that I’ve stored to show up on the app; sometimes they just don’t appear. Rather pointless having an app that doesn’t update automatically like previous generations. Terrible

Shame can’t get the social media connection to work - would be great to get photos automatically backed up from FaceBook
