Upgraded and unable to use the app due to an extended outage. Always was clunky and slow, now it’s unavailable. What a rip off

WD keep changing the rules

Not a long term investment. I bought the NAS device as a convenient solution allowing me to share files between PC, tablet and access remotely. Now WD are saying it is not a proper NAS device, have discontinued the desktop client and for the last few days the tablet version does not even work. Steer clear of this product and company.

Temperamental cloud

I have used this cloud for awhile now. It great for storing but it stops working and it a real hassle to get working again! They need a password and website they use does not work. This time I give up!!!!

No access to my data.

My My cloud home has stopped working. Before the said date (Jun 23). I know the app won’t work but when I follow the given links, they don’t work either. I have tried to contact WD using the given links. Nothing works. I paid good money for the service. I have now lost all my files. You want to a cloud service don’t chose this one. The support is nothing short of shocking. I know things change but where is the help for the customer. My daughter is distraught at losing all her photos.

WD is Not Worth It

I have 3 WD products. WD cloud discontinued support by WD which is disgusting as it is a waste of A 3tb NAS drive now rendered useless. I have 2 WDmycloud drives a 3tb model and 8tb duo. Both are offline and I cannot acces data don’t know why as they don’t inform customers of when they have been hacked they are again restricting how you can access your own data with these devices. Buy these at your own risk as the service from them treats customers with contempt and they change the way you acces your data at will, what you buy will not meet the description at their discretion I will never spend another penny on WD products. You have been warned

Use anything but this for photo storage

A very buggy app, constantly signing me out of the account, slow to load and often crashes in the middle of work. A connected solid state store is a far better option.

When it works this is a great app but when it doesn’t it is as frustrating as hell. I currently can’t log in at all to retrieve any of my photos or documents. I’ve had an account for some time now and it’s not the first time I’ve had this issue. This time round it just continues to ask my name and then loops round saying there is an error. Very very very frustrating.
