MyNextbase Connect

The 522GW has tons of features but very frustrating to use. Trying to connect view videos requires WiFi connection which I usually have to uninstall/reinstall the app every time to do this. The SD card is always failing and needing a reformat. Don’t recommend it. It is just so frustrating to use.

Never works

I purchased a 522GW Dashcam. Originally I was as happy with my purchase and everything worked well until then app pushes firmware updates. One day the dashcam stopped working and won't accept firmware fixes. If I plug in an SD card (brand new) the dashcam shoots and error and requires to be restarted. I have not been able to update the camera nor be able to get the camera to stop throwing errors. Very disappointed in this interoperability.

The camera is great but the app is terrible. I’ve had the camera for 4 months and have had to delete the app at least 5 times. A lot of times you get a blue screen now it’s saying it can’t connect to the next base WiFi so I need to join manually. When I try it just keeps going in circles so no idea if the files are on the camera or not. I would have to remove the camera or card and connect to a pc or card reader to see the files

Approximately every two weeks when I open the app, my screen is blue and I have to delete it then reload it then re-enter all of my data. Keeps happening ever since I got it in December.

Please listen to the reviews what’s the point of buying if the app never works ? I’ve rebooted and reinstalled the app with the camera a handful of time & nothing worked. What is the point of the app if it doesn’t work?? I paid so much money to get the dash cam front and back installed just for it to not work. Please fix this issues the blank screen. So much money paid for such a cheap app. Thankfully I paid extra for insurance. I’ll most likely be returning this.

Spent 30 minutes in my car trying to download a video. A video that was 600mb. The app froze 7 times and downloaded 10% of the video before saying it couldn’t be downloaded or saying there was nothing to download. Exit out of the app and do it again and now suddenly I’m magically in the settings of my recording dash cam and I’m not allowed to see any videos at all. I want my money back it’s ridiculous to me that it takes over 30 minutes to download a small video and that I can’t see any playback or even see the live footage because the screen is all black.

At least once a day it freezes. I have to uninstall and reinstall the app. Live view doesn’t work. And when the app actually works at least half the time my phone isn’t connected for reasons unknown.

I continue to have difficulty downloading videos. When I log into Nextbase my screen is blank. This has happened several times.

I’m having the same issues with the blank screen even after uninstalling and reinstalling the MyNextbase app as well.
