Wow I love this nighthawk app it is amazing and fantastic to use and wow love it and I wish everyone had this router as it is faster

Despite the fact that the router admin web page advertises this app as a faster way to administer your network settings, this app is so basic that there is practically nothing you can do with it. You can change overall WiFi network settings such as network name, security settings and password. You can turn on SmartConnect You can edit the little icon for each device BUT… You can’t set device priorities You can’t reserve DHCP ip addresses So it will do the basic bare minimum, but is no substitute for the router admin page (assuming that works, Nighthawk R8000 owners I share your pain)

Too hard to set up. Took over a day to install one then trouble installing extra satellites. If I knew what I know now I wouldn’t have bothered.

The device since I bought before a year it keep disconnecting and not boosting my network at all. Unfortunately it’s a waste of money.

Hopeless, extender reset itself and is now locked. Password reset sends you to a page where net gear try and sell you even more of their rubbish. Never buy net gear, I bugged to hell

No way to assign specific ip to 2.4 or 5 ghz network. Often fails and iphone doesn’t connect to nearest router, seems to want to connect to main router all time. Lacks more powerful options of other router software. Buggy when getting stuck between wifi connection to app and connection via 4g, asks for sign in credentials and doesn’t remember them correctly. All round disappointing and not reliable for home network

I was concerned about this but I managed to set up an EX20 and all worked fine although a bit slow to set up but it was working as it is supposed to and gave an excellent signal boost. However I decided to add another extender (EX6410) and that is when problems started. Logged in and found the add another extender and a new password required for the extender which was done. After a struggle managed to connect and get second device working. However I can no longer login to any device as my app can not find a router. If I log on to my newly created NETGEAR account on a pc it has only registered the EAX20. I would have expected the app to work with several devices and they would be listed when I logged in to the app. Then have the ability to interrogate each individual device for further information. The app only appears to work one to one with an extender.
