The price paid seemed justified by what was offered for your money. Nixplay have now turned this into a subscription model of nearly £30 a year for the basic package. Mortified that I gifted my Mum something she now has to pay to work, glad I didn’t buy any other family members one! On top of this, the app seems even worse than before….

The other week, my frame stopped working and I was told I needed to purchase a subscription. I contacted them to highlight that they are breaking U.K. consumer law, but they didn’t want to know. They basically said “tough - if you want the storage then you have to pay the subscription. Before this I would have had no hesitation to recommend Nixplay frames for showing off your photos. But now, I would say look elsewhere.

Within three months of purchasing Nixplay frame, I was told I would now have to pay an annual subscription to see my own photos on the screen. Shameful. Consequently, the apparatus is no longer fit for the purpose I purchased it. I will be returning it and expect a full refund. This is not what I purchased.
Was unable to track my delivery , so emailed Nixplay support. Maris was very quick to respond and resolve the issue. Great service. 😊
The photos have turned themselves so that they are all on their sides. I can find no settings to reorientate rendering this a useless gift.
My photos are now locked behind a subscription fee with no option to view photos from a local source. The photo frame is now e-waste to be recycled and I will have to look into competitors that will last.
What a shame. Had the frame for years now. Original one broke. Bought another one. This one has developed yellow shading on parts of the screen after less than 2 years. Now I have to pay to see my own photos on a frame that I have paid over £100 for twice !!! Shame on Nixplay for trying to cash in on people’s memories and sentimental moments. I will never subscribe and will not replace the frame again. Amazon Alexa Show does almost the same job, and more, for far less !!! Byeeeee Nixplay.
New subscription plan.... From 500MB to 3MB? Seriously? Better to leave this company and go for other frames. Disgusting!
