Railcard

I can open the railcard from the original email receipt link after buying the card . However when I downloaded the app it wont allow me to add the existing railcard

I was not fully aware that you must be connected once every 72 hours to Wi-Fi for your Railcard app to update and allow you to use your code without data or Wi-Fi on your travels. I tried to buy tickets at the station and my card wouldn’t work because I hadn’t updated it, the person at the till could see my card was having an issue but they made me pay full price and when I raised the issue with rail card they said that they do not deal with refunds and I need to go through the train line I used.

Please add the card to Apple Wallet. I don't see why i need to waste space on my phone with an app that i only use to see the card. Thanks,

App stops working with upgrade and you can’t prove your purchase.

Screenshot is not valid when not in app….however app wont load on train……

I have found this app particularly clunky to use and not easy to understand what’s going on with it. A railcard is a great thing to have, but this app could do with being improved and simplified.

Replacing a physical senior rail card with an app is ok if your trains have wifi and 4 g- which on the Alton waterloo line they often do not have. We have got round it in the past by taking a photo of our card in the app before we set off so it is in the front of our photos- so congratulations to the bright spark who has now blocked photos of the railcard so they come up black. I trust guards will no longer ask to see the railcard now you have made it physically impossible to show it in any form. Guess your systems are done by someone under 30 no-one over that age would design a system that prevents people proving they have a railcard without testing it in real life situations rather than were they are working at home😂 Even funnier is your requirement to have a nickname before you can post a review- and every nickname comes up as already taken and you can’t post without one. You have amused me no end😂
