RIU Hotels & Resorts

Most all the good reviews for this app are for the hotels, which are very nice. But the app is a mess, it is not properly organized or managed. There are at least 3 ways to log into it, and then even still it asks you to log in again. And then there is a permanent check in button where it wants you to manually enter all your personal data / names / addresses / hotel etc. Even though you’ve logged in 3 times. Don’t click on a pdf link or you get stuck and have to restart the app, eg the daily menu link. “Map” is just a google maps image with locators in unhelpful places, some markers even located in nearby competitor hotels lol. And not helpful if hotel has multiple levels. Activity calendar is good. Restaurant hours list ok. Restaurant reservations don’t work in app, we have to go to front desk.

Just wasted way too much time to find out your app and reservation system is pitiful. I need to book rooms for a graduation trip and I can’t book different types of rooms?!? That’s just absurd. I need regular rooms for the graduates and we want a suite. I can’t book them together, nor can I book a separate reservation with the same dates using the same log in. So the workaround is to create a whole other account just to book the dang suite. why in the world would you not let me add a suite to a reservation that costs more anyway?!!! I thought I must be doing something wrong so I called in the reservation center and they can’t book/change the reservation for me either. Come on – you gotta fix this

stayed at the RIU earlier this year and I live the amenities and the location; I could make this place my home if I had the ££££ 😊

We have been to the Rio los Americana two years in a row for a week at a time in Cancun and we absolutely love it. The hotel is very clean. The people are so nice. The food is excellent and you won’t be disappointed. We will be back next year 2025.

Went to Cano Mexico last week. Had my laptop stolen from my hotel room 15 minutes of being there. Not even two seconds of putting my belongings down to visit my friend’s room. Did a report and was told it wasn’t there problem because I didn’t put my laptop in the TINY safe. They slick with it. Be safe out here.

La app funciona bien

This is our second time here in two years and this location has really changed so much. We stayed here June 2022 and enjoyed it. I wouldn’t say it’s a 5 star hotel but it was A good 4/5 the last time we were here. Although it is still clean, it is nothing like it was. Our coffee pot was not cleaned and emptied each day. The room was barely mopped. It seemed like the bare minimum was done. The beds full/queen beds are not fit for two people. My husband and I are not large people and we barely were able to fit on the bed together. The food was absolutely terrible. The selection two years ago was so much better. Now it’s just gross, so greasy and it’s the same thing everyday. I was so disappointed. This is the first time I have ever been to Mexico and disappointed in the fresh fruit. All the fruit was not ripe. I have never seen so many apples in a Mexican resort. This is a tropical paradise, where are the tropical fruits?? Apples?? As far as entertainment, probably the worst I have seen. Riu, you can do so much better.

Me gustan los RIU pues en 2018 o 2019 estuve en RIU Bamboo y me encantó todo visite el parque acuático, camine por los resort y yo de maravilla y los Pool Party excelente. Me gustaría volver este 2024 y contar con un código promocional ya que soy de la tercera edad y retirada de los agradecería y esta vez volvería al RIU República del 22 al 29 de junio ya que es cumple de mi compañero. Muchas gracias y ecente trabajo el de ustedes.
