## Salesforce Authenticator Description
Salesforce Authenticator は、強力な帯域外認証プロバイダとして、オンラインアカウントにさらなるセキュリティレイヤを提供します。Authenticator から転送通知が送信されたら、ログインまたは重要な操作実行しようとしているのが自分であれば [承認] を、そうでない場合は [拒否] をタップすることができます。さらに便利なのは、Salesforce Authenticator が位置情報サービスを使用して、オフィスや自宅など、信頼できる場所かどうかを自動的に確認できることです。おまけに、信頼できる場所を Einstein が記憶してくれるのです。つまり、普段と違うことが起きた場合でも、通知に応答するだけで良いのです。 

必要に応じて検証コードを取得することもできます。このコードは、機内や接続状態が悪い所にいる場合のバックアップ認証方法としての役割も果たします。つまり、Salesforce Authenticator は OATH TOTP トークンを使用するサードパーティサービスとしても機能する、ということです。


バックグラウンドで実行される GPS を継続的に使用すると、 バッテリー寿命が大幅に短くなります。GPS の使用は最低限になるように十分に配慮してあり、Salesforce Authenticator がバッテリー寿命に大きな影響を及ぼすことはありませんのでご安心ください。

会社に言われて仕方なくインストールしてます。GPSを用いたMFA認証の自動化機能がついてますが、9割方失敗します。そのため、MFA認証を行うたびに手動認証用のスマホを手元に準備せざるをえず、だいぶストレスが溜まります。

個人用としてはsalesforceのアプリを含めて使いたくはないですね。

場所は1ヶ所しか保存できない仕様、もしくは前回と同じ場所の場合しか有効ではない仕様なのでしょうか。

在宅勤務→出社と場所が変わると、過去に常に承認をONにしたことがあっても無効になっているようです。

また在宅→在宅→出社(ONにせず)→在宅、と1度他の場所を挟むと、在宅の場所しかONにしていなくても、また認証を求められることが多いようです。
