Sonos S1 Controller

Appalling update to the app, system no longer functional unless your life revolves around streaming. Too bad if you have a local music library of your own. Pathetic app development and a vote against customers. Goodbye, Sonos. You’ve lost a 16-year long customer along with friends recommendations.

Love my Sonos speaker, crisp, clear sound. Only issue is trying to get anything working through the app. Unable to switch between Spotify and radio now since last update. Would advise against buying due to the frustration of operating the app.

The new “improved” app is terrible, I can’t control my individual speakers like I used to be able to, it keeps jumping between rooms and annoying the hell out of my family when they’re trying to watch TV or listen to their own music. When I switch from music to TV, it doesn’t automatically change over, so, so, so frustrating and disappointing

Absolutely rubbish, nothing is working. Can’t even play musics, unable to connect, music if playing (lucky you!) is skipping. Useless speakers now, feel like wasting time and money. Awful app, how can you release such a rubbish product? Did you test it?

I’m a long Sonos user with 4 different speakers. The previous app was old and clunky but at least it got the job done. The upgrade constantly (constantly) shows an error “something went wrong. Try again”. It’s difficult to link speakers, find previously played artists or queue up songs…all of which should be the fundamentals of a music app. Try again Sonos.

Sonos has managed to go from S tier to D tier app based music system with the release of a new broken, less functional and unstable overhaul of the app. New customers steer clear, existing customers speak up. Rollback the app sonos or expect further customer backlash.

The app wasn’t great to start with but then they updated and totally f’d it. Cant believe they were this incompetent. So disappointed.

I can’t connect some of my Sonos speakers As I have some gen 1 and gen 2. I’ve try using both s1 and s2 app but can’t seem to get them all connected.

This has to be the worst UX imaginable for a so called “premium” product. Setting up a play 5 and the two apps is incredibly frustrating and to be frank, and embarrassment for Sonos. It’s still doesn’t work despite following steps. I won’t but their products again

The app has been crippled so it no longer works with my Sonos Beware investing into Sonos. You may only get a couple of years functionality.
