Squarespace: Run your business

Shocking considering it costs so much for a monthly contract. Very disappointing.

Can’t be bothered to sit here ranting but this app is terrible nothing works and it is broken, very difficult to edit your page and you can’t access critical menus like accessing your domain and editing old ones or buying new ones

The app is incredibly clunky to use and often messes up things as I try to move them. It’s great that I am able to edit a website via my phone or iPad but the app just isn’t working correctly. Also I’ve noticed frequent pop-ups when trying to load a page from something called “trust arc” which is incredibly disruptive as it interrupts editing pages.

Don’t fall for 0% transaction fees, there’s plenty of them. And when you refund your subscription, they charge you for the free domain you don’t want.

Nothing is intuitive, editing the site is left to the most basic of functions that don’t work, highlighting portions of the page, touch response is poor, boxes are misaligned. Save function fails 90% of the time

I upload photos & do not appear on my website. Asked for help from Squarespace and got a much negative response.

Building a website on a main computer is a relatively simple experience with SquareSpace. Editing & updating the site via the app while away from the computer though is massively frustrating. The app itself is very clunky, slow to use & riddled with issues, for instance I’m currently trying to edit some text on my homepage, but in the editor, the viewing screen will now allow me to scroll down to see the bottom of the page, it keeps pinging the viewing area up to an earlier portion of the text, which makes typing & editing the text impossible (Im attempting to add a hyperlink, which I can’t do as the screen scrolls away, locking out of highlighting the text to add a link). Furthermore to this, the app is missing a LOT of tools available on the main site, even simple stuff like adding a photo album to a blog post, is unavailable on the app. I’m greatly disappointed, as one of my goals with the site was to update it regularly with blog posts & fresh pages, which the app struggles with greatly, & being mobile with my work, this is a major shortfall. I’ve reached out to customer service, who did back to me, basically saying “that’s all we’re adding for now, good luck”. If I realised this when choosing my site provider, I wouldn’t have settled on SquareSpace.

Product and customer support went downhill. Such a shame…

Very frustratingly buggy app, always sending me to a link that doesn’t open, then you have to back out of the page without saving, losing all your work. Far too many glitches and errors, no idea who’s rating this five stars it’s an absolute disgrace!

The most buggiest, broken and stressful app known to the AppStore. The developers clearly lack appreciation and care for their own work. Three years and no improvements to constant issues reported by the community.
