Really cool
This app is great, but it would be even better if we could have a left handed interface…it gets somewhat annoying sometimes, with the wrist getting on the tools and accidentally messing with the settings

I love the app, everything is intuitive for those with a minimal of expertise. However the thing that is not so intuitive is that for the movement/ tweening of a layer one should turn of the pixel edit button. A suggestion is adding a button to choose the movement rather than turning a button off. Thanks for a great app.
i have had this app for 5 months now and have not once been able to use it in all that time. every single drawing input with the apple pencil is delayed. when making too fast of a stroke it won’t show up at all. this makes the entire app unusable. i’ve tried every brush in the app and none of them work correctly. i had this issue with procreate a few months ago but was able to go into my system’s settings and uncheck a setting that was causing the lag, however the setting has since disappeared and i haven’t had this issue with procreate since. there are no apple pencil settings for toonsquid in system settings, and the in-app settings have done nothing either. there’s only been two documented cases of this issue as far as i know and neither of them have been resolved. i have done everything recommended multiple times over the past 5 months- reseting the ipad, disconnecting and repairing the apple pencil, clearing toonsquid’s cache, deleting and redownloading the app, and nothing has worked. i have tried all these things over and over again for 5 months and nothing has worked. i currently do not have a lagging issue anywhere else except toonsquid, and i know with 100% certainty this is not an apple pencil issue. i don’t want to leave a bad review but i need this issue fixed on an app i paid $10 for.
It so awesome ToonSquid is an excellent platform for animation lovers, offering a dynamic and user-friendly experience. This app is terrible. There is pretty much no tutorial at all, and it’s super complex and makes no sense at all. It’s confusing and there is just too much going on, and it’s just a bad experience. Both a waste of time AND money. I do not recommend this app at ALL.👎
Only thing it’s missing is the ability to import gifs into a animation project (I have a couple animation bases I’d like to use in app)
I had ToonSquid for a week now, and i got to say it’s fantastic. I had zero problems with it, in fact it’s the best thing. Mostly because of keyframes. I’ve always wanted a animation app WITHOUT frames, and now i can do that! Thank you, for this blessing
This is really good app but it could feel like a it could use a reference window so it’s easier to draw for people who need references all the time like myself. I also think that the import brushes feature could use a bit more variety of brushes from other art software like ibispaint and such again this is really good app these are just things i personally feel like this app needs
I like the software, as the UI is intuitive. Love the audio and video support—it’s super handy for syncing animations to sound or integrating external video clips. ToonSquid really shines with its flexible layer system and customizable brushes, which let me create and organize animations just the way I want. The keyframe animation tool is a standout, making it easy to animate layer properties with smooth transitions and easing curves. Plus, the ability to reuse animation clips with symbols is a massive time-saver. Compared to something like Procreate Dreams or FlipaClip, ToonSquid feels way more versatile and polished for animation. Procreate Dreams might look sleek, but ToonSquid’s deeper focus on traditional and keyframe animation makes it feel like a more robust tool for serious animators. As for FlipaClip, while it’s a solid beginner app, it doesn’t come close to matching the advanced features or professional feel of ToonSquid, especially when it comes to exporting and handling complex projects. The export options in ToonSquid are fantastic, with formats like MP4, MOV, and GIF that cover all the bases. Its ability to import Photoshop brushes also gives it an edge, though I wish it supported dual brushes to make imported tools even better. That said, there’s room for growth. Adding PSD file import would be a game-changer for transitioning projects into ToonSquid. SVG support could further elevate its vector capabilities, and advanced brush features would be a cherry on top.
Wasted 10$ on smth idk how to use💔
