Vio Bank

I get slightly better rates here than other banks. I’m starting to understand interest rates paid are inversely proportional to the ease with which one can interact with a bank online. The allure of the higher rates is fading. Cannot online designate how to handle maturing CD. Called 2 days before CD matures, asking that it be moved to MM acct after maturity. CS: you’ll have to call back after CD matures Me: You cannot schedule the transfer? CS: No. you’ll have to call back Me: Thank you (end call) VIO is a bank for retirees with a lot of time on their hands.

a little while to get your account

The only thing the app is good for is checking balances. The transfer function doesn't work. It continuously says you need to have at least 1 external source bank to execute a transfer. Despite me having 4 external accounts I can set up transfers with on the vio website, the app doesn't recognize them.

App is fine for deposits and looking at your balance/downloading statements. But there is no easy way to lookup your routing/account number quickly. For that you need to use the website login

The app is hard to use but my biggest problem is that they cancelled my account without telling me and when I called they wouldn’t give me a reason, just said “for business reasons.”

I love vio bank for the savings but the app will not let me sign in. I enter my password and it asks for a phone number and then tells me that number is already in use and can’t be registered. Like yes duh i have an account already IM just trying to sign in. Wife is facing the same issue. We’ll just use the website but this seems like such a dumb glitch.

App doesn’t work. Can’t log in. When I enter my use name and pwd, a message pops up saying “attention missing json dictionary”. Huh?! I can log in though via browser.

The app does not have the ability to transfer funds to and from external accounts. This is pretty lame for a “convenient” mobile app app. Will be skipping this app and using my phones browser until it makes sense to download this app.

As others have said, all this app does is let you check your balances. This app has been out a while. Vio, are you ever going to add the ability to make internal/external transfers? Please don’t respond with your canned response “Thank you for your feedback. We are looking for ways to make the experience better.”

I’ve been here at Vio for over three years. Brick & mortar? No more. Great app, easy access. All banks should be like this one. Open an account!
