Great variety to keep me engaged. I really like it. Only frustrating thing is when video doesn’t work/start and I have to download the session to use it. I don’t like to use it without the video
I complained to support but it looks like something essential, being able to check want you have done, your progress, can only be done through the hard to navigate calendar. Why did they replaced an awesome app like the Sufferfest and deleted an essential item, your workout history.. that every other competitor obviously has? It really blows my mind.. so disappointed :(
I would love to see past workouts and fitness test in the process tab
Wahoo developers, please do not treat my comments as a support issue as your response implied. You have either chosen to remove features or else you have rebuilt the app and released it prior to it being up to an equivalent level of original TheSufferFest app. Now for my original comments which I still stand by… I have been using TheSufferFest app for the last 18 months. Wahoo have obviously bought out TheSufferFest and tried to rebrand everything. Rebranding everything is fine, but it seems the Product Owner and UI Designer have never actually completed a 12 week training plan of the original TheSufferFest. While I sympathise with their intent to use the screen more efficiently, then they have undermined some key aspects as well as overall functionality. Some key call outs are * During a session they no longer zoom in on the plan and instead show the whole session in the one screen. This does two things; 1) You can’t see the detail of what is coming up in the few minutes to prepare for it; 2) The whole idea is to focus on what is immediately ahead of you and not be overwhelmed or intimidated or distracted by looking at the whole training session ahead of you. * You can no longer search back over past sessions to compare how you have done or look at your notes to understand how best to approach the session. Why write up notes for each session if you can’t easily go back and look over them. * The original TheSufferFest created a whole mind set and approach that is built into all the content. The initial rebranding is starting to undermine that mind set. * There are then lots of other small aspects that are a degradation from the original app, that are beyond the scope of a simple app review, but as an example, the target cadence, power and HR have been reduced in size, when that is either more important or certainly just as important as what your actuals are. During a hard session you want to look at what you need to be aiming for and not have it in small font. Overall I will probably continue using the app, but it is a big disappointment to get such a degradation from the original TheSufferFest experience.
New app looks great. Good feel and new plans look great too. A couple nice little touches like the climb gradient. But … where have the sound effects gone. Have done four or five workouts since updating and all none of them have had the traditional sound effects and notifications.
Great app overall, the training plans and FTP tests are great. Only thing that is missing for me is the ability to write workouts to Apple Health - to do that I currently have to email myself the .fit file after each workout then manually import it into Apple Health via a 3rd party app (HealthFit).
Really looking forward to the next evolution The Sufferfest. Has been my go to for indoor riding and yoga for 10 years. Onwards and upwards. IWBMATTKYT
This app has changed my life, bravo. But there is so much good stuff and things I like to repeat which becomes hard to find. Need to be able to “favourite” workouts.
One of the best training apps out there. It far outweighs anything else with training plans, cycling workouts , mental toughness, yoga and strength training. All for an affordable price. I would never look back!
