YAP – Your Digital Banking App

My account has been locked for 6+ months and Yap has stolen my money. I email them practically every week and my emails are ignored and not replied to. It’s nearly impossible to get through to someone on the phone. The couple of times I got through to a person they ask me to resend KYC documents which I have sent multiple times with everything they asked for. My last call in December they told me they’re closing my account and sent me a closure form to receive my funds, the closure form says they will liquidate my funds - I do authorise Yap to liquidate my funds!! If I do not receive a response to this review then I will be reporting to the police and regulators for fraud along with all the proof of my ignored correspondence.

I tried to create an account a few days ago and apparently I am 59,295th in line. This position hasn’t changed since i signed up. Very disappointing.

I have been in the que after signing up for one day it says I’m 39916 in the que how long does it normally take ?

Can I deposit cheques

Literally I was about ti open an account and at the first step when is ask me for phone number only let me input Arab Emirates phone number. Sorry but why is this app then in my store?

For a digital bank the one thing you need is a banking app that works. I’ve been attempting to use this app and apply for a card for months, I used it in the public beta and on the official release of iOS 16 and been expecting updates to ensure it still worked for users but it just crashed every time I try to open the app. I’ve also contacted yap via there social media streams to ask them to take a look but got no response at all so felt compelled to write this review. Will certainly think twice about putting money into an account t that can only be accessed by an application that doesn’t work and they dot seem to care about. Must be loosing customers every day. 2 months since the last update…. appalling and quite sad. I had high hopes…the user interface looks amazing in images I’ve seen…just let down by shabby execution.

Can I open account in uk ! Or Just UEA?

Easy Set up and my card arrived sooner than expected. It makes my life a lot easier when paying bills online, transferring money abroad and keeping myself accountable for my spending records through the app! No banking fees which is great!
