How much does Acloset cost?
Acloset has several in-app purchases/subscriptions, the average in-app price is 67.66 $.
I started with the free app. Loved it. Then I had over 100 items so I had to pay. It’s so cheap, less than a cup of coffee a month. Best investment ever!!! Because of this app, I now wear 87% of my clothes. I particularly like the cost per wear, for each item . Now I know I am getting my moneys worth out of all of my clothes. And I love that it shows me what I am not wearing!!! I purposely pull out something the app tells me I have forgotten about to wear in the next few days. Plus I am not spending as much these days on clothes, as I can actually see what I have listed in this app and I am not doubling up on anything eg 6 shirts in similar colours. I hope this app is around for a long time !!! I Absolutely love it.
So annoyed
I paid something like $8 for this app a year ago and loved it. Now there has been an update without warning and the app is unusable without paying for an ongoing subscription. If I knew they would switch to a paid subscription like this, I wouldn’t have paid for the app. Feels like a scam really.
new update is annoying
up to 100 clothes until u need to pay 👎
Once a great app
Spoiled by introducing a subscription model. I understand how apps need to generate revenue, but honestly I would have been fine with more banner ads. I’m not going to subscribe. Maybe a one off payment would have been feasible. But really - Cozzie livs!
Tried most of these apps, this is the winner!
Better than the others due to being able to edit photos easily direct from within the app!! Way quicker to have a beautifully curated wardrobe.
If I could edit / add my own categories and occasions it would be 5 stars.
Can no longer view any clothes
Downloaded this app because it was advertised as completely free! Now I can’t view my clothes that I spent a few hours adding because I’ve gone over my limit. What is this??? Not happy. Do not download app and waste your time to only have it not be useable
Subscription ruined the app
It used to be so good but now the subscription ruined it. I would rather pay a fee to use the app once and not a subscription. It is over $100 a year. That’s unreasonable
new subscription ruins accessibility of this app
SO disappointed and annoyed - not sure how much i can use this app after this recent update. I just updated because i had to (it doesn’t allow using app without update), and now i essentially have to pay subscription to use the app. you can no longer have more than 100 clothing items registered in your app, and otherwise have to pay. i have gone through the long painful process of taking a picture of every single clothing item i have, uploading them to acloset, marking the colour/season/price/etc, and marking my outfits everyday for the last 6 months - and now i have to PAY to get most of the main purposes of this app: i.e. knowing how much of your wardrobe you’re utilising, and being able to note down each clothing piece you’ve used for the OOTD calendar (my main use). and 20-second ads run every time you want to click on just ONE of your clothing items to view them - it’s pathetic. totally totally disappointing and such a waste of my time. despite the amount of time i’ve spent on this app, the regular payment subscription is making me move to other apps that will do the same job.
Paywalled with no warning
Edit #2: I requested a refund and went back to the basic plan after access was reinstated. The app is basically unusable without the premium plan - now you have to watch a 20 second ad and a subscription pop up every single time you click on something. Thankfully I’m very close to done with manually moving all my data back to Stylebook (which ironically I left in the first place because Acloset had a better user experience). It’s a shame the developers chose to destroy app functionality and user goodwill in the hope of squeezing a few bucks out of everyone.
Edit: I paid for a month of premium just so I could access my item details again (for the purpose of transferring across to a different app). Now they have just announced they will be reinstating access to item details for free users. So now I’ve also wasted $5.99 under false pretences…
Been using this app daily for a while now, incredibly disappointing today to be kicked off for now having “too many” items for a free plan (there was never a premium plan before). I can’t even delete some items to get back below the limit because I can’t click on anything without getting a pop up asking me to pay. I’d also like to get all my cost per wear data before deleting items so I can continue tracking using a spreadsheet, but I’m unable to view any of the item details now. It looks like I’m going to have to pay for a month just to be able to get all my data before cancelling. This could have been communicated better to existing users - I actually would have been happy to pay a small subscription fee from the start. If there was some notice period to decide whether we want to pay or move our data elsewhere that would have been ok. But suddenly locking users out without any notification is poor form :(
Unusable after update
They made everything hidden behind a subscription, you can’t do anything you used to do before this. Limited to 99 items. The ads are everywhere and everything lags because of them.
