Apnea FreeDive Breath Hold Reviews
Glitchy but Useful
The vibration setting doesn’t work for me at all. The out of app drop down notification doesn’t bring me back to my exercise, it closes out of the exercise session and I have to restart.
BUT the daily reminders are useful, and as long as you keep the app open while completing an exercise, it works just fine.
2.5x’d my breath hold
Increased my breath hold from 1 min to 2.5 in about a month!
Great App!
This is a pretty good app, if you ask me.
Just today, I started with a best breath hold time of 1 minute and 1 second. Then, I did the C02 table which lasted for exactly 13 minutes and 4 seconds. After that, I did the breath hold test again, and got a best time of 1 minute and 33 seconds!
I used to have this app before, then my record was 1 minute and 32 seconds. But then now I reinstalled it, and I was confident about my breath hold to where I wasn’t getting diaphragm contractions until about 1 minute and 5 seconds into the breath hold. So that made me confident enough to where I tried to beat that score, even if it was only by one second which it was, with a time of 1 minute and 33 seconds!
This is a pretty good app if you ask me. Great app!
USCG Dive
Getting ready for school. This has been and is very helpful!
Good for consistency
This is a limited app with a small selection of workouts, but it helps me stay consistent. Have improved my dry static breath hold by 2:30 over the past year and a half, in part due to this app.
If you’re consistent it works.
If you consistently use this app you can really increase your breath hold and and reduce panic/anxiety when subsurface/without oxygen. It is incredibly effective. Built a 4:12 breath hold with a starting breath hold of 1:01 in 4 weeks of daily use.
Challenge
I love the challenge of this. It really does help to develop self-discipline, a strong mind, and spiritual toughness.
Works for Military Selection
I used this app to prepare for a water-based military selection program in 2019. It took me from a 1:40 static hold to 2:30 in just a couple of months. I could go to the bottom of the 15ft pool and just hang out there for what felt like an eternity. Highly recommended.
So so
If you know what you’re doing I’m sure it’s great. The “guide” gives very little guidance.
And if the app closes out you lose progress. A mediocre free app at best.
Great App
With this app, I was able to increase my breath hold from 18 seconds to 41 seconds. I would recommend this all to athletes. Keep up the good work, developers!
