Arc Timeline - Trips & Places

Dette er en fin App, der kan en masse, men samtidigt så er det en utrolig uhjælpsom app. Som hele tiden skal bekræftes. F.eks så skal man meget ofte fortælle app’n at det nu er en cykel man har kørt på. Og at man har gået, eller løbet på det og det tidspunkt. Og ofte så kan man opleve at selv om man allerede har fortalt app’n at man have bevæget sig rundt på cykel, så har app’n som åbenbart glemt den information igen. Det andet er at app’n ofte ikke samler data sammen, og skriver at man skal genstarte den. Noget som den har fortalt mig tre-fire gange her til aften, og hvilket er grunden til at jeg har bestemt mig til at lave en anmeldelse af den. Opdateret okt 2022. Pludseligt koster appen nu penge, hvilket ville være ok, men 49 kr. pr. måned er fem gange mere end hvad jeg ville mene er ok. Og irriterende nok, så kan man slet ikke komme ind til sine allerede opsamlet data mere. Og der står intet steds i opdaterings noterne at der kom denne ændring. Så jeg har ændret mine stjerne til en enkelt.

Arc is an app that tracks where you been and when. Or that's the idea of it. It just doesn't work any more. A few times every day I get the message that Arc has stopped recording, needed to be restarted. And if that isn't done, it will not record until next time, meaning you'll have big gab, sometimes for days, without data. Even when it's running normally, it misses a lot of places you've been. I hoped this was the perfect replacement for when Moves app closed, but unfortunately not. Even the support and contact function is not working.

I’ve been using Arc for years - and been happy with it. But lately it doesn’t collect data or I can’t see anything in the app. I have searched the Arc homepage but doesn’t see anywhere I can get access to help!?

Jeg har i flere år brugt Moves, og siden den lukkede i sommeren 2018, har jeg været uden tracking-app. Efter at have fundet Arc er jeg blevet glad igen. Arc fungerer upåklageligt og er rigtig god til at gætte min aktivitet (cykle, gå, bil). Integrationen med iOS’s sundheds-app fungerer ligeledes helt gnidningsfrit. Smukt

Great idea - however, room for Improvement

This is a great and stable app with many features for those who wish to log their travel and exercise. The great thing is that they have developed a feature to import data from the similar Moves app which has now closed down. I tested the Arc app against Gyroscope, Loca and Instant. Arc won hands down on usability and accuracy. And they keep launching new cool features. Two thumbs up!

Der findes et utal af apps i stil med denne, og efter at have brugt “Moves” app’n i nogle år, og solgte deres sjæl til FB, så er det fantastisk at finde en app som denne, der er endnu bedre - Godt gået!!!

I love the idea and the design of the app. It does a lot of stuff right, I do have one small complaint though: Why can’t I teach the algorithm what my home is? I live in an apartment, and it keeps thinking I’m in the store downstairs, and I have to adjust the title to ‘Home’, but it doesn’t seem to learn from this? It’s annoying having to adjust these for the 3-4 entries at home every day. Is this a feature in the pipeline? Once again. Great app, and thanks for your work!

Why allow only the map so have a dark version when everything else is retina-burningly bright? Honestly really annoyed this was overlooked.
