After playing Arknights for the past six years, I think it’s finally time to share my honest thoughts about the game. Over this period, I’ve probably spent close to $6,000—maybe even more. I’ve played through every single event, cleared every stage, read every story, and collected every character released to date. I’ve spent countless hours tackling the hardest endgame content, with some sessions lasting six to seven hours straight. I’ve poured hundreds more into the roguelike modes, and probably thousands just experimenting with team compositions and event gimmicks. To date, I’ve fully raised over 150 operators, unlocked more than 100 Stage 3 modules, and maxed out close to 170 skills at Mastery III. Hi Arknights Team, I’ve been playing Arknights on the global server for a while now, and I just want to say thank you for all the amazing work you’ve put into the game. The worldbuilding, characters, and gameplay have made it one of my favorite games ever. That said, I wanted to bring up something that I think would really help a lot of players — including myself. It would mean a lot if you could add a Chinese language option to the global server. Many of us on global are native Chinese speakers or bilingual, and being able to experience the game in Chinese — especially with all the original dialogue and nuances — would really deepen the connection we have with the story and characters. Sometimes we even switch between different servers or have to rely on fan translations to fully understand everything. Since the game already supports multiple languages, it feels like Chinese could be a natural and appreciated addition. Thanks again for everything you’ve done for the game. I really hope you’ll consider this — it would make a big difference to a lot of us. With appreciation, A fellow Doctor -- kiwiliw, 2025-05-15 ### ***** "Extremely unexpected" - Started playing Arknights expecting a typical tower defense game, but turns out the mechanics were extremely unique - Gacha system is extremely F2P - you will already get 10 pulls every 2 weekly quest, which is significantly more generous than other gacha games lol - Gacha rates for 6 star is also quite high, getting a 6 star with 60 draws is considered unlucky - There are no “weapon” gacha banners, meaning if you get the featured character, you don’t have to pull for any complementary accessories. - Unlike other gacha games, every character serves a purpose. This means even lower tier characters could fulfill a role that even 6 stars couldn’t - The story narrative goes extremely deep and rather unexpected lol, its not always sunshine and rainbows. The story also include elements of politics, which I like. - Gameplay is not repetitive, some stages are straightforward, while some may take several attempts. - Character designs are meaningful - characters are not over-sexualised. - The grind is not tedious - the game has auto-farm features for money and upgrade materials. The process is not lengthy. - Once again, I have to emphasize the vast amount of story in Arknights. There is so much lore that you’ll never get bored lol. - Have been playing the game for nearly a year, and have never gotten bored. The game frequently releases good updates, like once every month.
