I’ve used Ate for over a year now, and as someone who has struggled with her relationship with food for most her life... it was so great to find a way to track my meals (that doesn’t focus on numbers or trigger disordered behavior) and allow my support system to help keep me on track Taking a photo is really easy, and it doesn’t involve any numbers.. the main focus on the app is how you feel and listening to your body. Yay for intuitive eating! The ability for my friends to check in on what I’ve eaten can be really helpful for when I slip up- and it’s nice that I can check their food too if we are being accountability buddies. I personally haven’t really used the other tracking factors as routinely (e.g. tracking my mood and hunger levels) mainly out of laziness, but I can see how it can be really helpful to have that record. Love that this is free 💛 I don’t usually write reviews, but I just wanted to say thank you to the Ate team for providing us with a free and awesome app!
Best app to help with mindful eating. Easy to use too. Love the customizable reminders. Thank you!
I really like it!
Make me feel guity to grab snack Lol
This is the app I’ve been looking for. The camera implementation is great, and the AI does its best to decipher what you’ve got on your plate. It’s not always on the money, but it gives you a good start on ingredient analysis. This app is flexible, non-judgmental, and open-ended so you can experiment with different nutrition strategies and approaches to eating. You can even make up your own! I LOVE THIS APP!! I love the “eat the rainbow” approach to nutrition. Great app, highly recommended.
It is a really good app to record what you eat and thinking on a daily basis. But I hope it can add another function that is to put the meal plan there as well so to help with meal pre and compare
Update: AteMate AI is a game changer! Love the Eat the Rainbow analysis and the new insights. Finally I have the motivation to eat more veggies! 🥗 ***** I stumbled upon the Ate Food Journal app during my own health and wellness journey, and what a discovery it's been! This isn't just another techie tracking tool; it's like a friend who understands the ups and downs of maintaining a healthy lifestyle. What I genuinely appreciate about Ate is how it encourages mindfulness about what we eat, rather than obsessing over numbers. It's been a real eye-opener for me, helping me see my food choices in a whole new light. And trust me, as someone juggling a tech career and family life, I know the value of something that's easy and quick to use. Ate fits right in. Photo based, intuitive, and not judgy at all. Love it! Did I mention that they also support tracking your exercise, sleep, water, weight, and other aspects of your health. They are all optional, but can give you a great overall picture of your journey. Everything you need on one easy to read timeline. How great is that? I also want to give a shoutout to the Ate community and the support team. It's a warm, welcoming space that reminds me of the support I try to offer in my own life. This app is definitely for anyone and everyone - whether you're just starting out or have been on this path for a while. Over the years, I've learned that health is a personal journey, and Ate really gets that. It's not about drastic lifestyle overhauls, but about making small, sustainable changes. It's been a great companion for me, and I think it could be for you too. So, here's my two cents - if you're looking for a simple, friendly way to keep an eye on your eating habits, give Ate a try. It's been a great help to me, and maybe it can be for you too. It’s well worth the couple of bucks a month! I save more by that single pastry I skip.
it’s a break from myfitnesspal and as a visual person, it’s making eating intuitively so much easier
