Ate Food Diary AI Diet Tracker Reviews

Really good app

lainee57 on

I have used this app before and found it again. I mainly use it when I go on holiday cruising so that I can take pictures of what I eat from the Buffett or a restaurant. I spoke to Mia one of the coaches who set me on the right path it was great to talk to her and discuss the app with her I even suggested that they link the app to IPhone health app so sleep can de tracked also they need to add more than water like Tea, Green tea, Coffee leaded and unleaded along with alcohol she said they are looking into that now.

Impossible to upload photos via app on iPad

Fed up with trying to import photos - sometimes I can but mostly I can’t. Would not recommend.

On trial but will stay

I have tried many apps to try and make me accountable and consider my eating choices as I can be an awful snacker and lack any accountability for my own bad eating. This app, in just a few days to me has been rather insightful. If you’re looking for a less number based way to think about your food choices, but a more considered and rational way to look at your choices, this may be it. You can see images of the food you have eaten, but tied to each image replies to questions you answer being - where was I when I ate it, who was I with, how did it make me feel etc. Really insightful and makes you think about your choices. Also the at a glance feature shows you the replies to these answered questions on their images - so you really can see - looking back - the choices you made and how/why. I’m still early on in my eat journey but it is a new concept to me - and most of all, easy to use, so you can go back to add the replies to your images of your food posted. Definitely worth trying I would say. It may be that thing you haven’t yet tried. Much easier than those apps where you have to input amounts, ingredients etc. but this app I think comes at it from a completely different angle - visual and emotional I would say. And as a serial and secret binge eater, this for me hits the spot. For note I have never I recall left and ad for an app before but felt for this one I should.

Life changing and created by some genuinely helpful people!

When writing a review for this app - again - it feels like writing a story about a gem I found years back! I suffered with obesity while becoming a survivor of a traumatic brain injury with diabetes. This app used to help me SO MUCH since my memory was seriously impaired, my nutritionist also liked it! Ag some point, this app started to simply break… I took a break from it, from taking care of myself and many other things in my life. It is time to get back on track. I decided to try using Ate again an to my surprise, Tom the creator has listened to my suggestion and now the user can easily locate a time during the use of the app and see what their diet consisted of back then!!! THANK YOU TOM! I’m really excited to try again with everything and once again, reach my goals! Ate shall be a part of this AGAIN! 🙃

My favourite app- amazing design. it recently I opened it and was asked to pay?? I received no emails or messages warning me about this and would really appreciate a reply on this as I have been using this app for around 3 years

Can no longer use for free

I’ve been using Ate for at least a year consistently, now when I open it it goes to a page where it asks me to pay and can’t click off of it. I can’t access my previous meals. So much for a long time user.

Makes it easy to track food, drink and activity!

I’m really glad this app exists. Thank you to the team that make it :)

Easy, effective, mindful

ElectronicTransmission on

I love the features, the gentleness of the app, the way it helps people with ED focus on mindful eating instead of calorie counting. I wish adding water was easier but it’s not bad overall.

Quick and easy way to track your meals

dioneja on

No calorie counting, just add pictures or text. Helps me see what I eat in the visual form and track time between the meals and you can also fill in more info if you want more detailed stats.
