1. How to add video with USB
- Run iTunes 9.1 or above
- Device->My Device(My iPad)->Apps, drag and drop files to the AVplayerHD's documents
2. Support High quality video clips ( 720P, 1080P )
- High quality video clips of 720P (1280 x 720) or more are recommended for MP4 format.
- MP4, MOV, M4V formats that QuickTime supports can be played up to 1080P by using H/W Decoder but, Post Processing function isn’t provided.
- Support H/W decoding for MKV and AVI (720P supported on iPad1, 1080P supported on iPad2 / The New iPad)
- Hybrid decoding mode is added and now it is able to play high resolution videos by using hardware accelerator feature embedded in iPhone/iPad even for mkv or avi in h264. Also battery use time has extended.
- Application may crash in iPhone 3GS / iPod Touch due to heavy use of memory in Hybrid decoding. Try turning off all application running in background and reboot the device by holding down sleep mode button for long time.
- If screen shakes it means hardware decoding is not supported. Try turning off hybrid decoding.
- When the file formats are available for MKV or AVI the player supports hardware decoding.
- If you cannot choose audio in mp4 or avi, change the extension to mkv temporarily and chosen audio channel will be applied.
3. The optimal speed when advancing its playing speed can differ depending on the way it’s compressed and the size.
Video clips of XVID (AVI) 720 x 480 can be fast played up to 1.3-1.5 times faster than normal.

AVPlayerHD
I have the latest IPad with the M1 chip in it and it pixelates when I rewind the movie. And it also when you open the movie, there is a black line on the left hand side of the screen. I have to use the middle button on the top right hand side to fix it.
Awesome app
The best app I found so far, it can work after screen is blacked out or co-exist with google map while driving. The wifi transfer may need more work to others, but it’s fit all my audio and video needs..
SMB support
The app is great, I am using it for years. One small request, adding SMB protocol support. It will enables me to access shared local libraries.

Awesome little app...never fails....always reliable to watch vids
Solid dependable performer
I’ve carted videos around for years with this app. It’s been dependable on my commutes and trips OS. The ability to speed up shows without pitch change works great and means I can squeeze a whole episode in on my train ride. Controlling picture, subs, and audio channels works well. The only thing is it is feeling like an app for 2010, not 2020. It now needs a facelift and more than that, it needs UX love to improve usability and perhaps get features that take advantage of devices and iOS in 2020.
Don’t bother
It used to be awesome. Now its not. Seems incapable of properly syncing audio and video
Extremely limited capability to move videos in and out
This app essential runs videos/movies well. Where it is well and truly FRUSTRATING is that it has very limited capability to move videos to and from the app. It is very frustrating and after having used it as my default video player for a while I am now looking for one of the many other newer apps that are now available but have much better capability to move videos to and from the app. nPlayer does a much better job in this regards.
