1. How to add video with USB
- Run iTunes 9.1 or above
- Device->My Device(My iPad)->Apps, drag and drop files to the AVplayerHD's documents

2. Support High quality video clips ( 720P, 1080P )
- High quality video clips of 720P (1280 x 720) or more are recommended for MP4 format.
- MP4, MOV, M4V formats that QuickTime supports can be played up to 1080P by using H/W Decoder but, Post Processing function isn’t provided.
- Support H/W decoding for MKV and AVI (720P supported on iPad1, 1080P supported on iPad2 / The New iPad)
- Hybrid decoding mode is added and now it is able to play high resolution videos by using hardware accelerator feature embedded in iPhone/iPad even for mkv or avi in h264. Also battery use time has extended.
- Application may crash in iPhone 3GS / iPod Touch due to heavy use of memory in Hybrid decoding. Try turning off all application running in background and reboot the device by holding down sleep mode button for long time.
- If screen shakes it means hardware decoding is not supported. Try turning off hybrid decoding.
- When the file formats are available for MKV or AVI the player supports hardware decoding.
- If you cannot choose audio in mp4 or avi, change the extension to mkv temporarily and chosen audio channel will be applied.

3. The optimal speed when advancing its playing speed can differ depending on the way it’s compressed and the size.
Video clips of XVID (AVI) 720 x 480 can be fast played up to 1.3-1.5 times faster than normal.

Sadly in need of updates

Out of date these days. Can’t even chose to sort files by date.

Doesn’t work…save your money

Bought this to play avi files from my ipad and this thing said it plays avi files, but the files DO NOT drag and drop and neither can they be sent to the app either. Waste of money. Don’t make the same mistake I did.

Audio issues on ios16.1

Apple IOS 16.1 seems to have led this app to some issues. Audio seems to echo and go out of sync. Update : after many many years of trusted use still the best media player out there. Working great on IOS 14 on M1 processor much as it did on single digit IOS. A must have player 2nd to none. Most recent update has definitely improved HD play back on the iPad mini. Overall still the leader in a crowded pack. Love this app and is really user friendly and nice looking simple interface. I have bought a number of media players over the years but have to admit this one is the best playing anything thrown at it without any issues. Developer has managed to license the AC3 audio codec so thats good as most "back-ups" have AC3 audio. otherwise a flawless app with really good interface where you can program touch screen gestures to pause, play change video and volume.. I have stuck with this one now for some years and they have never let me down. even pulling app for a short period while they sorted out a dispute rather than removing features like other developers did.

My goto AV app but needs to cast

This has been my goto AV app for many years now and does almost everything I need from it … and what it doesn’t do (like offer even a basic editor for cut and stitch, I can forgive) … except that it doesn’t have the ability to cast to my Chromecast dongle from in-App. One reason I’m posting this is to let the developers know that their product is STILL highly rated and not to forget it. It is still of value to those who purchased it, and it deserves support. An update would be appreciated, but please don’t break what we have.

Good but buggy

Excellent player. BUT has always had this tendency to randomly crash out when browsing your dlna server on your local network. Various iOS devices and versions. Updates to the app and a new dlna server haven’t helped.

Superbly Versatile Player

I have been using AVPlayer on my iPad for years and it still doesn’t disappoint. Plays any video format you throw at it, and has a very easy interface.

Great app let down by separate iPhone purchase

I really like this app, but I don’t like the idea of paying for it twice. It’s the whole reason I went to iOS for tablet and phone.

Can’t find anything to beat it

Hi Been using this for years. Fantastic has I had a number of media files in different formats and the all play on here. Only downside is that it doesn’t compress so files still take up lots of space.

Two Years Since Last Update

If it’s perfect fine but for instance the Dropbox link does not work or the Google Drive link so no access to storage. It was years ago but I seem to remember paying for this software so is this another example of capitalisation followed by loss of interest? I think an annual service should not be beyond expectation to keep software working and customers feeling cared for.
