Brilliant app, keeps your finances organised,

Nice app but the transaction synch just doesn’t work !

I like the layout and format of the app but when trying to synch with my bank accounts, it just doesn’t work!

Best financial app

I find it useful to track my various accounts

Account balances changed in latest release!

Why have account balances shown on the summary screen suddenly changed to show ‘today’s balance’ when they previously showed the balance after all future transactions had been taken into account? At least if you’re going to change the screens, allow an option to revert to previous functionality! Unless this is a bug…but if it is, it’s a major one and not a mere annoyance.

Forced subscriptions

I bought this app a while ago, it now forces you to pay a subscription on top of thte app purchase fee. Very disappointed in this approach, I may as well use something like xero.

Not great - Mac app is good though

The Mac app is a great, but this iOS app is not very helpful. Nine of the folders sync and you have to. Jew all your closed accounts. I can’t see the wood for the trees and will be removing this from my iPad.

Would not be without it!

Sure there re some problems with direct access but to be honest I think some of these are directly the cause of the banks' not adhering to the rules, particularly here inThailand where one of my banks will not parse any information on transactions made 'today'. Always have to wait until the nextday or do it manually. I would give 5 stars but I am still waiting for the fix/update that allows the auto-selection of currency when looking at, say, a UK bank account then a foreign bank account. Been waiting a l-o-n-g time for that!

Latest update and all accounts totally messed up

So until now Banktivity has been OK. Over the years I have spent many hours keeping my accounts up to date, balanced and checked. Just opened it today and all my accounts are completely messed up. All previous reconciled statements have missing transactions. I don't know where even to begin to try and resolve. My whole financial world is now upside down!!! I've cancelling my subscription immediately.

Another Non Starter

Looks good if you actually manage to get past the sign up process. Then it triggers auto payment from Apple Store after the trial ? Password fail and after resubmitting new password it has not stored the latest one. Straight in the trash bin!

Poor - not worth considering outside of the US

Expensive with bank integration that might justify the cost requiring third parties and significant additional costs. It's also very inflexible: it only exports to QIF and TIF. Not CSV or Excel. The tool is difficult to use and the categories are fixed and you can't create any of your own. For example there is nothing that covers loans to or from another of my accounts. The "integration" between accounts is appaulling. I tried setting up a pension account, but it treats the investments in there as cash (!) and there is no way to change that. The categories provided -the same as for a current account- are completely inappropriate for an investment or pension. Finally, the application, despite being sold in the UK store is horribly US-centric. No awareness of SIPPS or ISAs for example. Instead we have IRAs and 401(K) etc...
