Version 4.0 needs work

Totally happy with version 3.x, version 4.x looks nice but regularly cannot load content and restarting app does not fix it. Needs more updates to become stable. I have switched back to the 3.x UI.

BlueOS 4.0

Agree with KelloggCornflake, this app is rubbish, not for the average user…far too many bugs and complicated to troubleshoot. Look elsewhere.

Clunky connection

Can go months of not connecting to NAD. NAD need to invest or find a new partner.

Versatility in one audio component

Great streamer , MQA versatile at a realistic price, no need for an external DAC , a good match to any system .

Buggy and too complicated

I’ve been networking hi res music since around 2012, so I’m aware this can be technically challenging. But in this day and age, dedicated music streamers like the Lindemann Bridge make it very easy. However, This app and the associated hardware (node n130) lasted a (torturous) day in my setup. The usb out feature (note to other streamer manufacturers- please include this !) recognised my dac, but would not talk to it at all. When it did work via toslink, I could get tidal to work … but as soon as I’d change albums it would stop working, and I’d have to reboot the entire setup from scratch. Don’t even try to stream something via Bluetooth, unless you desire frustration and a thumping headache. When things did temporarily work, the sound was inferior to my laptop (via Roon) and and also the aforementioned Lindemann limetree bridge. Yes I did perform a firmware update , and assiduously follow the troubleshooting vids and instructions on Bluesound’s website, as well as using various forums . Personally speaking - I recommend staying away from this product and app until they iron out its many faults and terrible interface.

Works great (minus one little thing)

Firstly. I love the Node2i. It just works with Tidal. Never any issue. The only thing that I struggle with is rearranging the songs in play queue. I seem to struggle to hit the three lines to move songs around. EVERYTHING else is fantastic and I will never need anything else. It sounds amazing and just works. Previously we had a Yamaha Musiccast product and it would stop playing all the time. Yesterday we played music 12hrs straight, not a single issue.

Better than Sonos

This app is excellent. Easy to use and quick to play your favourite music. As the streams are such high quality, it does benefit if you know a little bit about WiFi networks - all these negative reviews seem to be from people with poor WiFi. More than anything, the sound quality is amazing!

Highly disappointing

Frustrated with the app when it disconnects from the players every other day and doesn’t connect to the players. How many times I reinstall it doesn’t work. I regret buying this brand while popular ones are there in the market. One of the wrong decision.
