BluOS Controller

Not a very user friendly app. Cuts out often and isn’t at all responsive to searches. Requires perfect spelling and seems to only offer album titles rather than single songs. I’d happily ditch it, but rely on it for playing through my Bluesound Node.

I never imagined such a device could even be possible only a few years ago. I had some brief evanescence good fortune some time ago, and when in temporary possession of comparative riches beyond previous imagining, I came across this machine in a local stereo shop, which I have never visited since, due to the wealth needed to even to sniff the merchandise. I spent some time listening to $19k speakers before plunking a mere $2.3k on this cube of glory. I have now spent the last 3 years loading all of my many thousands of cds, and sending sublime hours listening to all the nuances of all the different versions of my favourite tracks, live or studio, to decide which ones are my personal favourites. The sound is refined, beautifully clear and articulate, but can be bass boosted to shake the floor when necessary. So between this, together with my vintage Acoustic Research speakers and NAD 50 watt D Class amp, provide wonderful audio. My Sony OLED TV makes up the other half of my entertainment system.,So finally in my old age I have what I have longed for all my life, and I am sure my father looking on from above would also heartily approve. He was my mentor in all things electronic, and used to build amplifiers and speakers (actually so did I) and really knew his stuff.

This app is gold. Love it. Highly recommend.

I use two inputs, my TV via HDMI ARC and Spotify Connect. I bought this to replace my Yamaha WXC50 as I wanted the control with HDMI ARC so I didn’t need to use the app or remote. Unfortunately I’m about to put my Yamaha unit back in and sell my new Bluesound Node 130 because I cannot adjust the volume per input on the Bluesound. This means my TV is either very quiet when changing inputs (not a problem) or my Spotify connect is so loud it could damage my bookshelf speakers. There is no way to get the Bluesound to not use the last volume (which if it was the HDMI is far too loud) so half of the time streaming via Spotify connect I attempt to destroy my speakers, or wake the neighbours. Surely these are the basics? You can’t assume different inputs are the same volume, why does changing inputs not reset the volume level at the very least?

These players are great and I like the app too!

Current revision wiped out all favorites. Also, moving between different WiFi environments now seems to be an issue where it never was in the past. Seems to me that some decent Beta testing would be a plus for users!

I find that I constantly have to reset the speakers to get them to connect to my phone. The app itself is buggy and breaks whenever the speakers disconnect (which is often).

There seems to be something fundamentally incompatible with the new iPhone BluOs app. Local network access never seems to work. I’ve gone through the standard troubleshooting but never works. Had the player working but now the app seems to be faulty. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Was decent for a few years until latest update. Stopped loading content and now won’t connect to my network. Please fix this app so I don’t have to buy another streamer!

Just updated to the latest version. Failed to load content and it asked to try again. Attempted several times but still with same results..! As with other reviewers, this is very disappointed..!! PLEASE FIX this ASAP
