Have been using this App since a few months. I find it to be very out-of-the-way, which makes it a whole lot easier to focus on what actually counts - the workouts. The UI is intuitive, program-variety is good and bugs are rare. I especially enjoy that it calculates quite a few things for you, instead of acting like a glorified notepad. Plus; unlike other Apps, you really don’t need to pay for this one either, as the PRO features are just nice to have conveniences, not what I’d consider essential parts of the application.
One thing that irks me, however, is the pricing. Some of the conveniences, in addition to the App’s quality in itself, … I’d pay for that. I would like to pay for that. What prevents me from doing so is the somewhat ridiculous pricing-model:
I don’t know whether or not I’m going to use this App one year from now, so the 90€ commitment (an arguably very reasonable ask of 7.50€/month) is not going to work for me. Naturally, there is a monthly option - for more than twice the price. I can’t help but feel like the Boostcamp-Team is giving me the finger here. Don’t want to pay for something you might, six months from now, not use anymore? Of course you can! We’ll just charge you twice as much. :)
Not a great look for an otherwise pretty neat App. 😐
Danke!
The best fitness app I’ve used
Just a great app in every regard. Great programs, great tracking opportunities and 95% of it is free
Great app but too pricey
It's a great app and GZCLP is really well implemented but Pro is just too pricey. Bring it down to 45-50€ a year and figure out a way to compensate creators for their plans but asking for this huge premium and donations is just cringe.
Mega Value - und das gratis!
Die Menge an trainingsplänen von Weltklassen Athleten und Trainer ist unglaublich.
Bin von Gainsfire umgestiegen.
Die App bringt das Training auf ein neues Level
I would buy pro version if it would be a 1 time purchase
Monthly sub is too expensive
Data not Loading
Would be a great App if it didnt have connection issues every other day. Not loading my workout or cancelling my program altogether or even showing i don’t habe the pro version despite having paid for it. Reinstalling the App doesn’t help either.
Sitting in the gym and restarting the App 10-20 time before the workout does wonders to kill your Motivation.
Mediocre at best
I‘ve paid for the pro version and I don‘t want to be rude, but it is really not worth the money. For 12 something a month the additional features are more or less useless. Set timer does not work correctly and sets, rpes etc. do not carryover correctly, so you have to look it up and then change it manually. I will use google spreadsheet instead in the future. It is nice that you can choose from many different programs, but most of them are not interesting for me and I will never use them. So I don‘t wanna pay for programs I won’t use. For 15$ you can get AI apps like EvolveAI that is a unique tool that automatically adjusts to your needs. I will either go back there or just keep using a nice spreadsheet.
Great app, different than the others
I love this app because the developers work together with the creators of some of the best training programs. I like that the app calculates everything for you according to the program. There are still some small bugs, but I think this app could be the best out there in some time.
Refreshing
So refreshing to have a “free” workout app that’s actually pretty much completely free. Not only is the app extremely intuitive but the founder behind the app really stands behind its mission.
