Canary Mail

I tried this app after finding the native Mail app too buggy (especially re searching) and I can’t stand how gmail clips your emails. This is mostly great but I have one consistent problem - sometimes the content in one email will just not load (but I can see it has actually loaded - bc if you forward the email the content appears, it just won’t appear when you click from the inbox). There seems to be no way to fix this; once the bug happens, even if I restart the app etc the email content will not load and the only way I can read it is by forwarding the email. Please fix bc otherwise this is a great app.

Started using the App and like it so far. But unable to find settings for push notifications for selected senders.

I’ve been using Canary for years. It’s a 5/5 email client that competes with the best of them in functionality. However, suddenly they have imposed a poorly implemented calendar, that duplicates notifications with my actual calendar, and no clear method to deactivate the functionality. Why is it there at all?

I understand that there’s the constant drive to “enhance” and “improve”. But AI is not the way. At least not without ironclad user agreements that you won’t train the model on our emails. And what if that trained model is lost? Instant scammers paradise. The fact that AI is in the product now makes me worried that even with it “off” it’ll still be trained in my style.

DISGUSTING FRAUDULENT SUBSCRIPTION METHODS. SAID THAT THE PRODUCT WOULD WORK ON MULTIPLE DEVICES. TRIED TO ACCESS SUBSCRIPTION ON PC AND WILL NOT WORK. TRIED MULTIPLE WAYS TO CONTACT VENDOR WITHOUT SUCCESS.

Love the app. Want to fully pay but… occasional instability, emails assigned to labels reappear in inbox, the archive folder is renamed with my gmail account name , cross device sync occasionally doesn’t work. If these got fixed it would be 5 stars ✨

Play it by ear, but for privacy respecting mail on a freedom unfriendly platform, canary seems to fit the use case.

I’m trying to forward an email to wife. “Please keep app open to send” I do, I see the footer saying “sending” click here to abort…. Yet still won’t go through. Restarted my phone, force closed app, all the usual tricks. Have been trialing this app for a week but time to give the flick Same issue has occurred twice in a week

This could easily be my favourite email app if it just was so unreliable. It has amazing features like unsubscribe button and ai summarise but it falls flat in terms of usability - syncing emails between devices is extremely delayed and makes this hard to use for more than device - some emails with outlook just straight up won’t load, if you open an email thread and click on some of the items of the thread there will just be blank - notifications about a new email is really quick, faster than the mail app. But if you open that notification the app just goes insane trying to sync everything and most of the time you won’t even see that email you were notified about until you pull to refresh I understand the recent interest in AI is forcing the market to move fast but there is so much neglect that all the ai features become pointless if I can’t open an email on my device

1. The app is occasionally buggy: 2. AI composing sometimes just sommerizes the email instead of responding to it 3. Search function is off-target occasionally 4. Could have more swipe menus 5. Should have an option to send something immediately instead of the default wait time of at least 5 seconds 6. Read receipts is nice
