the barcode scan isn’t great

i love the app, i switched from mfp for a better experience, considering carbon is available for paid customers only you’d expect the barcode scanner to be better than mfp 🥺

Scanning food

Scanning food doesn't include all Food even if I changed the region/Language would appreciate it if this is fixed. I know I could add it manually still time-consuming to add all macros and micro. Thank you

The best health app for long term fat loss

carbonuser on

United Arab Emirates

Carbon is basically a nutrition coach in your pocket for a tiny price. It will adjust your macros based on your results. Support from Carbon team is incredible, setting goals, fixing tech issues, long term goal planning they will personally respond and make sure you understand and are on track to your goal. Great for accuracy and a deluxe user experience. The calorie planner feature and macro preference sliders are unique and premium features that make the tracker and adherence aspect easy and fun. As a fitness professional I recommend my clients to use this app over any others on the market.

Easy to use

Good app. I don’t worry about input being incorrect like MyFitnessPal (like multiple macro options for plain chicken breast). I do wish you could put the time down when you had the meal and also be able to have different macros different days. Like if you have high carb and low carb days. It would also be nice if you can import recipes or copy and paste all the ingredients when creating a recipe instead of having to add each one individually.

Better Than The Rest

Zanziloo on

United States

I used My Fitness Pal for years and switched over to this app over a year ago. I’ve also tried others, like MacroFactor. Carbon is simpler, and it’s just flat out better for tracking calories and macros over the course of a week and planning out weight gain and loss. My only request would be they integrate and send data to apple health. I’m not sure why that isn’t a feature.

Best weight loss app I’ve used so far

CNizzy514 on

United States

Honestly don’t think I can describe all the reasons why, but this app just clicks with my way of eating and thinking in a way that other apps haven’t and it’s kept me motivated and engaged. I love that I can flex my calories around during the week instead of sticking to a daily amount. I love the trend feature so it shows my weight on a trend line instead of a daily weight since there are always weight fluctuations. I didn’t think I would like the check ins, but I actually really do cause it holds me accountable in a way that isn’t overly pressured. And I actually don’t mind logging my calories and macros because they make it simple to use. Enhancements I hope they make—trend lines for BF% and Lean Mass and the ability to set a goal not just on weight but also BF%. But that’s not a complaint, just something to look forward to one day.

Worth It

Wasabi_72 on

I have tried multiple apps to help track my weight and log my calories and this one is by far the best. It has been the best in keeping me adherent. Pay the money, weigh in everyday, and log all your calories and this app is more than worth the price. Using this app has made me a better cook. I would like to see a feature were I can import recipes or write out a recipe for any of my created recipes.

Owner is anti-vegan

VegFarmer86 on

United States

I’m sure this’ll encourage some carnivore diet morons to support the business, but if anyone is plant based or at the very least appreciates that plant based diets can be health promoting when done right, then be aware that the owner of this app who claims to be researched-based makes statements to suggest that a vegan/plant based diet is inferior based on bias.
