I love this app! I have used others in the past but I love how this one is so pared back to just the essentials. The macro ratios are front and centre and easy to manage. The food diary is excellent- I live in Australia and it still has most barcodes in the database. I also love the use of averages. It is so easy to get discouraged by weight fluctuations but using averages keeps me from coming undone. Well done Layne, Carbon is a fantastic app.

Good but frustrating
Having used MyFitnessPal, I find CDC has a far better Interface and the diet coaching is next level. My biggest frustration however is the food logging. It is absolutely atrocious, it cannot find simple foods and very little is found using the barcode scanner. It can lead to inaccurate logging and take too much time. Lucky I’ll it’s half the price of MyFitnessPal or I wouldn’t continue with CDC. PLEASE ADDRESS THE FOOD LOGGING…

I like that it allows for check in and adjusts to monthly flow :)
Food Database is inferior to MyFitnessPal
App is nice, but many food items don’t exist in their darabase when scanning barcode. Have also had several time where a item comes up but nutritional information is different to label (serving and/or per 100 mL/g).
Subscription is rather expensive to be this flawed.
