Helpful, but could use more key features
As others reviews have stated, it works well when the onboard internet works well. A key feature that is missing is the ability to text more than one person at a time… it allowed me to do this, but the text was not received by anyone in the group. Multiple of us tried, and no one was successful with receiving a group text. Also, I booked a spa appointment on the first day and at first it appeared under “ My Planner” but later it disappeared. This was annoying as it required that I go to the spa to verify that I did still have the appointment and I had no record of the price I’d booked at or the time.
When the ship’s WiFi worked
The app worked well as long as the WiFi on the ship was in working order. On the last three days of my cruise it just refused to work even when I restarted my phone and reconnected to the WiFi it still wouldn’t work, which made it difficult to communicate with my family on the ship and checking in for dinner or just getting updates for debark, drills, etc

The app keeps you informed of everything happening, from acct balances to photos this app really keeps you updated. App allows you to book all your excursions from your phone and will also notify you as your excursion departure time is near. From eating locations and menus for all restaurants, and times they’re open, all can be accessed from the app. The only drawback was the on board texting, I must say it was down more than it was up, keeping in contact with family and friends was frustrating (I think they should have given everyone their $5 back), other than that the app worked like a charm. The only reason I deducted a star was for the Texting option.
Carnival Hub App
The app works great! I would recommend everyone using it. It was so convenient to be able to look up what was happening, check in for dinner, and keep track of our Sail & Sign account from my phone. I loved that our whole group was connected and we were all able to pick the things we were interested in doing and the app would remind us when an event was coming up. The only downside was the ships wifi. I constantly had to connect back to it. It kept dropping and it took a few frustrating days for me to remember to check to see if I was connected before trying to use.
App need an improvemnt
The app is good but you need to add your location in the ship life. In another word, if you are going to get Uber or left from the airport, the app know where are you at what gate number and also what floor too. That was amazing. You need to work on location inside the ship. You don’t need google to do that for you. You can do that by add sensors that can catch by the app to show your location in the app and also direct you how to go to anywhere in the ship and find location for your family. This will help a lot.
The window for the app is very basic. It’s like windows 1995. You need to show something like we are in 2024 and should work faster

the app worked if wifi worked in the beginning, but during the second half of the cruise, the chat option wouldn’t work and it would no longer show me the room area where events were had. also i had to pay $5 to chat with board members where in the past this option used to be free. i would have no issue paying, if this function worked throughout the whole cruise rather than just 4/8 days.
Employees on Horizon were wonderful. Very service oriented.
Employees aboard ship. Great job Rani and Saber in Lido Marketplace and JayPee the steward on deck 9. He always remembered our names and did a great job. Good work ethic to all employees.
The app is great when it works.
Half the time the chat feature or various other features of the app weren’t working. When they did work they were helpful, but some of the issues were trip-long. The photos app didn’t send photos to half of the group.
Great concept while on the ship
Love the app. It has what’s happening and send your notifications on what you plan to attend. I wish it allowed you to chat with other you meet on the ship instead of just your group.
