Needs upgrade
I am using the app daily and enjoying it, however, it is in need of an upgrade to allow user customization. I have favourite opening closing prayers that I would like to add to the app, but the app does not allow this.

The Centering Prayer application will support your daily prayer practice commitment. Beautiful and peaceful, the app includes an adjustable timer, as well as opening and closing prayer options that you may read before and after your silent prayer time. An assortment of sounds and backgrounds allow you to choose the type of environment you want to create for your prayer time. Brief instructions for learning Centering Prayer are also included.
It is recommended you practice being in relationship with God through Centering Prayer twice a day for 20 minutes to begin with.

Centring Prayer app
I have used this app for several years and have found it to be extremely helpful. There is the possibility of choosing an opening and ending writing, be it scripture, psalms, words from Father Keating or from others. As well you can choose an opening and ending sound, eg. chimes or the sound of rainwater. In both cases you can select nothing. Finally you can choose the length of time of your sitting which frees you from worrying about whether or not you are finished. Oh yes, you can also choose a background. What more could you ask for?
Great Bowl
Having the timer and a magic bowl ring to begin and end the prayer takes away the shock of a regular alarm.

I use this app every morning. Love that it offers different scriptures and prayers and that I can set the time for silence. This app shapes my prayer in a way that brings fruit every single day. I wouldn’t be without it

Love this app. It’s so helpful for timing Centering Prayer. The only thing I would like to see is an automatic chime at 2 minutes after my closing time.

Centring prayer app review - I love it.
I love this app. The choice of prayers keeps it fresh, and they set a lovely tone for the session. The visuals are pleasing, it’s straightforward, and easily customisable for personal use, with the choices of prayers and sounds. If I could ask for one more thing, it would be audio readings of the prayers.....but that’s just greedy 😊
