Chunky Comic Reader

I used to use this app all the time to read my comics, Now when I try to upload anything bigger than 300M The app crashes and won’t run again until I’ve restarted the iPad . Shame as this was always my go to comic app.

This works really well. When it chooses to. Every so often - sometime daily, sometime weekly, it reports “Error loading page ‘(null)’. The only solution at that point is to reboot. Really annoying, and I see from other reviews that the problem has been there for at least 5 years, so I guess the developer is not planning to to fix it.

I’ve tried so many other readers and this was the only one that worked with every service/connection I threw at it. So many problems with SMB and OPDS shares with other more expensive apps, but not here. You can customise the colour scheme to however you like it which I love, it really is a perfect app for me. Shame it doesn’t seem to be developed any more but I’ve never encountered a bug and there are no extra features I feel are required. Big thanks to the dev for this, well worth the money.

I have an old iPad (4th generation) there's not a lot I can do with it but now there is this I've filled it up with my favourite comics/graphic novels and it is now my go to piece of tech of an evening. Well worth getting the Pro Version even if it is just to keep these guys creating stuff. Love it!

Every time I update my iCloud folder with new comics, it’s all well and sync in the folder, open Chunky, and deletes all of them!! Tried different ways, all updated and working on my end. A total waste of time.

Beautiful organisation, intuitive controls, connects to all cloud services. I bought it and tipped, and want to see it improve but it’s fallen behind. iCloud import especially is a pain, only because it hasn’t been updated inside Chunky, competing readers let you download multiple files at once. 2 years and no updates… might be abandoned

It has always worked a treat with PDF and CBZ and CBR. Absolutely love it :)

Can't import any comics, just get a blank white screen. Waste of time

Perfect app. I’ve been using this app for years. Always satisfied the functionalities of this comics reading app. CBZ, cbr and pdf files are supported. The only thing I’d like added in the pro version is the option to change the tint of all the blacks, just like the whites.

would be amazing if you could add this into the app. Automatically update our list as we keep reading chapters.
