◾ The science behind circadian rhythms (chronobiology)
Your body's circadian rhythms are 24-hour cycles of biological, hormonal, and behavioural patterns. This biorhythm modulates a wide array of physiological processes, including your hormones, sleep, hunger, and metabolism, ultimately regulating body weight, performance, mood and susceptibility to disease. As such, circadian rhythmicity has profound implications for your wellbeing and longevity.

The 2017 Nobel price in medicine was given for research on circadian rhythms. Circadian clocks in almost all of your cells govern cellular functioning. When you disrupt your circadian clocks chaos, inflammation and disease are the natural consequence.

Must have for Circadian optimisation

Thanks to the work of Dr Jack Kruse and others, the importance of a dialled circadian rhythm to our mitochondrial and therefore general health is finally being recognised. Our modern light environment is absolutely toxic and few understand the impact of their blue-lit, Junk light diet on their health. So much of the disease I see in my clinic from obesity to mental health disorders to autoimmune diseases could be improved or outright prevented with circadian practices and a healthy, ancestrally appropriate relationship with the sun. Thankfully apps like Circadian life exist to help guide people through what their ancestors did intuitively. I recommend it to my patients and my clients on my Circadian optimisation courses. Must have!

This app does absolutely everything I want it to. Helps me manage my sleep rhythms, relative to the season, helps me remember to block artificial light, turn off devices and wind down at the correct time, it allows me to customise my fasting window. It’s so simple to program and use, yet it does it all, and the colour scheme at GUI is beautiful. Great app, it’s my lifesaver living in the city, I will use this forever if I can.

This app is a foundational tool to reap the benefits of following a circadian lifestyle. Simple but effective way to establish and maintain the optimal circadian rhythm for your location. Easy to navigate and customise. Clearly sets out the why and how for the many aspects of circadian rhythm and lots of invaluable tips on how to maximise health benefits of each of these aspects. A treasure trove of material/references for those that want a deeper dive into the supporting science. The support is also excellent. Highly recommend!

This company has a fantastic app that works real well. When I first downloaded the app in Australia time zones were not functioning correctly. I contacted Circadian Life customer service and got a very fast response and within a few days the time was corrected and was advised to download latest version which I did. And it worked beautifully straight away. It is a great app to use if you following circadian rhythms it is adjusting all the time with sunset and sunrise which it sends notifications. The best app and service I have had and have purchased over 300 apps over the years. The first time I have ever done a rating. It is a game changer You will very pleased to use it.
