◾ The science behind circadian rhythms (chronobiology)
Your body's circadian rhythms are 24-hour cycles of biological, hormonal, and behavioural patterns. This biorhythm modulates a wide array of physiological processes, including your hormones, sleep, hunger, and metabolism, ultimately regulating body weight, performance, mood and susceptibility to disease. As such, circadian rhythmicity has profound implications for your wellbeing and longevity.

The 2017 Nobel price in medicine was given for research on circadian rhythms. Circadian clocks in almost all of your cells govern cellular functioning. When you disrupt your circadian clocks chaos, inflammation and disease are the natural consequence.

Will a dream come true?

Circadian offers best rhythm of the day I’ve experienced. I once discovered it when I woke up at half past 3 at night, and was looking for sleep rhythm apps. It turned out I was 5 minutes late to wake up for the region where I were xD. Since then I try to integrate it in my life. However, truly enjoying such a rhythm requires a habit. I think, introducing some feedback/habit tracking features like “yes, I did take the natural light and movement brake” would help me greatly. Integration with health on iPhone would be very convenient if it could sync sleep schema with circadian. Widget with circadian clock would be a great addition to my experience.

Circadian is a beautiful way to get information on your bodies internal clock and how to support it to get the most out of it in the most healthy way. I have an issue with international payment and the team responded very quick, friendly and kindly to (still) solve this problem. So my five stars for this! Although there are some wishes for improvement. It would be fine when the alarm settings in the app can be transferred into the iPhone’s standard alarms. So that I get a (time to wake up-) alarm on my Apple Watch. You won’t have your phone in close proximity while you sleep.
