Encryption and Password Protection:
* Uses the open source, encrypted database engine SQLCipher for all data storage
* The encryption used is 256-bit AES in CBC mode
* Master Password key derivation uses 256,000 rounds of PBKDF2 SHA-256
* Every encrypted database has its own random initialization vector
* Every page of storage has its own random initialization vector and HMAC protection
* Hardware-accelerated using CommonCrypto for speed and reduced battery consumption
* All sync data is encrypted with a completely random Sync Key

Fantastic App.

This is a fantastic solution for managing securely the many passwords, codes, and unique information we all need to store and protect. Great app which has a number of backup options. Support team are top notch also, but you probably won’t need them.

Great app

Does all it says it does, reliable and stable. Would just like a feature to go directly to the bottom of a long note (currently I put dud unique text at the bottom and search for it).

Couldn’t be without it

An incredibly useful and reliable app. I store all important and sensitive information which otherwise would have to be kept in a much unsafe format. I’ve been using it since its STRIP days and I don’t know how I’d manage without it.

Rock solid password management

Started using this when it was still STRIP password manager and it’s pedigree goes all the way back to password management on Palm devices. Might not have all the bells and whistles of other password management apps but it’s rock solid, does exactly what it should and if I recall correctly the only one of over a dozen apps that was actually secure.

Problematic & Buggy

Unreliable, loads of errors, terrible support, compromised, venerable, Refund

Great user experience

Since I first discovered Codebook (STRIP) I have just loved how it synchronises across all my devices. The way you can organise your passwords into categories and sub-items suits me perfectly. It is so intuitive that I have even been able to train my mom to use it. And best of all; no more forgetting (very strong) passwords!

Devastating bug!

Used it for many years without problem until recent version with Touch ID login bug, lock me out of the app with all my passwords account numbers etc in it! I lost it all!!!!!!! Could not get it back even after the update corrects the issue!! Now I have no confidence to use it again..not recommend to anyone..use it at ur own risk of losing your valuable passwords!

LOST HOPE

I have been trying to open Strip on my computer for the past month, without success. Nether the developer nor Apple have been able to help me recover my original data after updating the computer program. How can do anything but rate it based upon my situation????

Great app! No more needs to be said.

Excellent app

Have been using Strip for nearly a year. This makes keeping track of passwords on various websites very easy. With multiple websites requiring passwords and usernames etc Strip makes it a breeze to manage and recall them. I would highly recommend this app.
