D-Link Wi-Fi

I like the app, and have been using it to find IP addresses of my devices, do some parental control settings, show the guest password to friend. But : about 50% of the time, it fails to login. In a positive note, it never fails twice in a row. Restart the app and it ‘s all good. Can it be fixed ?

Unable to connect the devices

This app worked fine for a couple days then it wouldn’t work it won’t let me add names on the app so every time I have to look at mac ID number to control devices

Using the app to initially setup the mesh Wi-Fi system was relatively straight forward. However, the connectivity between the app and the mesh nodes is extremely temperamental and poor. The basic management experience isn’t that good either. For instance, while you can tell how many devices are connected to your overall system, you can’t tell which devices are connected to each node, which other manufacturers’ apps do allow.

You can control it only if you are home.

I give this rate on the ground it is very good device and amazing stable connection excellent performance

The app keeps logging me out everyday for the past few weeks. Have to log in again and again to receive notifications. It used to work perfectly. Not happy

Setup is surprisingly complicated, device has to be next to the Wi-Fi router, which defeats the point of requiring a booster! If you need to come away from setup for some reason, the device won’t allow you to join network. Still attempting to set it up 1 hour later, good luck!

App is quite slow when navigating and on multiple times has made me re-give permissions. Clicking the ‘wizard’ button in setting completely resets the system. My biggest problem is that there is no Indiction of strength of signal between each node to decide on optimum placement. Finally, it would be great to see what devices are connected to each node.

I bought two D-Link X1560 access points to run as simple access points. This app refuses to do anything at all without internet access via the WAN port. It just hangs forever. So I configured them both manually and simply via the web interface. Give them an IP address, connect them to my switch via ethernet and set up the wifi. Second massive flaw with the app, as if the first wasn’t enough- it doesn’t sense more than one on a network. Or rather it might, but it just hangs at the first one. Third massive flaw, after trying and failing to access the first device on your network, subsequent launches of the app try to access that device at launch, so the app can no longer - ever - be used again because it hangs up forever. Worse than useless, because it has wasted my time.
