I’ve been using this app for several years now. It is a capable raw editor but it also is the most buggy piece of software that I use. I have reported the issues – becomes unresponsive, edits stop being applied, forgets edits, forgets cropping, easily stalls if swiping too fast from image to image – but the developers have failed to fix them. In this light it is very annoying that the app keeps promoting an expensive subscription in a modal dialogue. I won’t subscribe until the bugs have been squashed!
Please add any kind of heal tool and more mask selection methods and I’ll never use another editing app again
Every new feature comes with a massive number of bugs and crashes. Legacy purchasers are now left in the wind with no ability to get new features. Except a massively overpriced “lifetime” purchase. Which based on the history will possibly not get all features for life after all. There are better apps for cheaper in the app store.
But I can't because it lacks the basic things I need in a RAW editor 1. I need sliders for highlights and shadows that control them the right way. I don't know of there's an universal definition on how they should behave but this certainly isn't what I'm looking for. If I even touch the highlight slider, it makes the image look horrendous even if using quality RAW photos as a source. I don't know how lightroom does it but until then, I can't use this software until these two settings behave the way they should. 2. Where are the camera lens profiles for distortion and vignette? Isn't this basic stuff for RAW editors? 3. I'd heavily suggest changing the exposure slider to EV values, not some random scale from 1-100. Just do the +1 stop, +2 stop and so on. The same thing for color temperature. Just put the kelvins in there. 4. I know this is very big thing to tackle but the UI doesn't feel intuitive. Especially the way you come out of menus feels pretty bad with pressing some little x's in the top left corner of an window.
As in the title, I like the app otherwise, but it recently started to forget the hashtag sets I make. First it lost all the 7 sets I made in the new update, I thought I’ll just make new ones since this sometimes happens when you update something. Now the app can’t hold the set for one day. Loses them immediately, so can’t use for that purpose anymore…
Trying to import RAW photos always give problems. Folders with for example 60 photos it only successfully import 20 of them, or even when importing them 1 by one not all of them can be imported. The same exact folder and pictures can be imported nicely into Photoshop or Lightroom.
I use it all the time. Clients dig it a lot. I got in before the subscription method but I would gladly recommend it to others for €50 or the equivalent; it’s infinitely usable.
En osaa käyttää. Kuva valitaan, mitä sitten??
I hate when there is a sneak attempt to make yearly or monthly substriction. Hardly even noticed when my thumb was on the button and it made yearly subsriction without even giving proper info or warning about it. Basically tried to picpocket money out of my wallet. Criminal!
