I love journaling every little detail of my day and whatnot and have been doing so since 2020 and hence, have tried every app that claims to be “fit for journaling” but nothing compares to DayOne. It’s an amazing app and I highly recommend it to anyone looking to start writing daily entries or anything. 5/5.
The Arabic localization of this app is very poor. Many UI elements are broken, and some translations are hilariously inaccurate. This is an issue I have reported for years but to no avail. I love using this app to journal but I may consider another if this issue has not been addressed.
It’s a very great app I absolutely love it, even tho I didn’t try the premium, i still like it so much and never had a problem with it.
I mean come on ! Backup should be free ! Thank god that I just noticed this( backup is premium) so I’m going to stop using it ,just imagine that all my notes will gone if I deleted it by mistake or something like.

I haven't encountered any bugs for this app and for me personally it has lived up to my expectations. The best has been bettered I believe. Only Day One team can do that...
Cancelled key features just after subscribing and neither Apple nor Dayone offers any support. Not worth the money . Definitely a scam
New version removed that feature. Takes an extra level of incompetency to break what worked. Simple: bring that back.
It was a good app until the last update. Now on all my devices Day One will crash at startup. Opened tickets and no one replies. After being turned into a paid app, you get zilch support. And I can’t even get in to the app and it broke my journaling streak (Day One takes pride in that). NOT worth it anymore. Use the Apple Journal app since Day One Support barely exists. My old review: Beautiful app and UI, but no optional sync with iCloud or Dropbox. Also zero encryption for Day One's old sync. Deal breaker for some like me. Don't buy unless you're fine with zero encryption sync to their servers (encryption will be available later in 2016). Wished I would have waited.
Overall good experience. It could be perfect if adding handwriting function. A bit expensive by the way.
