Expensive. Basic package doesn’t include a door chime in the house. (Purely relies on your phone). Quite a long delay between someone ringing the doorbell and the notification coming thru. In most instances, when remote from the house the camera and talk feature doesn’t connect. Having had this for almost 3 years I’ve never managed to have a discussion on the system while someone’s at the door and I am elsewhere.

I’ve been evangelical about this app & the DoorBird itself for many years now, but would point out one thing the app is missing CarPlay control I have a driveway gate which is connected via a module & would find it really handy to have control from CarPlay, without having to open up the phone & navigate to this app Come on guys & add it. I’ll return & add a higher rating
Ringing on the phone too feeble
Hardly ever works on cellular - only the LAN - unless you reset every few days Support is useless - literally like writing to a pen friend over years. Latest complaint isn three weeks off emails back and forth with gaps of 3-4 days Useless
Temperamental are best. I have 2 iPhones and an iPad all setup with the app (and all on the same network and in the same room), when the doorbell is pressed the phones chime, sometimes the iPad chimes but sometimes there’s up to a 15 minute delay which isn’t ideal on a doorbell!!!! Also most all the default chime sounds are WAY to quiet!
Doesn’t work away from the home, don’t bother
It opens the gates, we’ll just about. Camera element is the most disappointing , worked for 3 weeks in colour mode now’s it black and white, as for the speaker and attempting to communicate via telephone to gates, we can’t hear what people say at gate and 5he6 can’t hear us . We wouldn’t advise buying this system, it’s been problematic since it was 3 weeks old. Wish we’d of bought a basic gate opener.U
Zilch customer service in the UK, my DoorBird has been nothing but trouble since I got it. It has now after Storm Alwen started playing up again. It only works when I’m in the house and not when I’m away from home so missing loads of deliveries at this time of year. Been in contact with Vodafone who say there is nothing wrong on their end and contact DoorBird however the only customer service is in Berlin so unable to contact them or unwilling to spend money to contact them. Wish I had purchased a different doorbell system!!
We would love integration for Google or Siri to be able to say “DoorBird open gate” so we can have the gate open and we arrive… A small thing but a nice touch. The app is a little glitchy at times too
