eCabs: Request a Ride

He is polite and very nice

Eventhough I selected the card option it would not process it as such and had to pay cash . Usually I do not carry cash ..

I have been using ecabs for a few years and l recommend them. I would like to suggest to be able to give a tip to the driver.

I downloaded the app, and am prompted to enter my phone number. I receive an error saying there has been a problem. The phone number is correct and valid. I tried to find a way to get support and the only option I could find is a useless chat bot.

Reliable, professional, super-efficient transportation. I trust eCabs with taking me to the airport for early morning flights. 😀

A driver was late 30 minutes and I couldn’t cancel the ride. Then it charged €25 in Malta. Don’t use it

So we arrived at around 1am and ordered a car from the app. Estimated time was 1 minute (within the app) but the driver arrived 8 minutes later. Ok, it is what it is! But to my surprise another couple got the same car (license plate) and my name vanished from the reservation. Driver told me that another guy will arrive but app said 14 minutes. Canceled, refunded and used Uber for 1.5€ more.

We went on an excursion in Malta that included a tour of Blue Lagoon and Sea Caves with a full boat. We got off towards the end and all of the taxis were already gone. We went to a Gelato and pastry shop and asked where could we get a taxi. She told us they usually come around when the boat lands but there all gone. So as we are are gelato thinking are next move she said there is a cab and he just drove up to get his favorite diabetic gelato. He said hop in and I will take you to your hotel. As we were driving he mentioned the eCab app and I downloaded and the rest is history. We used the remainder of our trip. Awesome App only for Malta. I wish they could expand into other EU countries. You will be competitive with the big guys. Go for it eCab. 😀😀

So many problems with eCabs Malta. The time estimate on this app is an absolute joke. Here is an example of the most recent experience. I request a van which the app says is 1 min away. App searches for a driver for about 3 minutes and then finds me one, apparently 7 minutes away. After waiting 10 minutes the driver is now 5 minutes away and dropping off another client. Eventually, 28 minutes after booking the “1 min away” van our ride arrives. Furthermore, I always select Apple Pay upon ordering the car and every single time when it finds a driver it has switched to cash. Driver can never help and I’ve had to find cash every single time. Drivers always say there must be an issue with the network/app. Clearly! Use Bolt instead, much more reliable.

My boyfriend and I tried to download and register but we both did not receive SMS for verification. When we called the help number they weren’t of much help either.
