Empire Four Kingdoms

My last review was conveniently deleted so I’m offering my personal experience again. I’m a top 50 player in US1. I’ve leveled up to maintain my rank and ability. When the latest builds/features are offered and released requiring hundreds of real world dollars to purchase and deploy, the old builds become obsolete again This cycle repeats every few months. This endless money grab has made the game pointless to all except the very few pay to play players who love to bully and call everyone else a “small spend” for not spending hundreds of dollars a week on an increasingly pointless game where dollars trump strategy and teamwork.

I have been playing for ten us years now and have spent thousands of dollars on the game I really like the game but today out of no where I got a message saying my account was suspended for 13 plus years with no reason why I contacted support and all it say is it can take up to three weeks for a reply

All balancing has gone out the window shredding the casual players experience. Want an army? You can either spend days recruiting, fighting npcs for reward troops, and doing missions steadily building up a mixed force of differing quality and capability, or you can purchase 40k of the best units in the game for $20. Want to equip your commander to lead this new army? You can spend time playing through events and winning unique sets, attaching gems and upgrades over time, cultivating commanders to set upon specific challenges, or just bust out $50 and get the best equipment in the game. Castle burned by your enemies? Either repair or pay up to get it fixed instantly Army defeated? You can buy it back Not even the premium currency masks it anymore, you can just buy armies straight from the storefront This ruins the old dynamics of the game where castles and armies were slowly built up and were valuable assets to be guarded and risked only when needed. Wars were intense because you could be wiped out and have to start from scratch. Alliances were vital to getting protection and something to work towards. Players could get very powerful and tyrannical, but the alliance families would counterweight them and protect their smaller players and allies. Now there are players far more powerful than whole alliances, because they will buy more troops and equipment than entire alliances, if you get on their bad side. Wallet warriors are everywhere and they will outbid your armies. Fight back and they’ll come back to do it all over again. I come back to the game for the nostalgia but soon enough someone comes knocking.

If your the type of person that loves pay to win games and developers that go out of their way to make the game miserable for people on a budget then this is the game for you. The game itself is fun and the people that play it are nice most of the time but that’s where the complements end. I’ve been playing for over a year and the amount of times GoodGame has taken things away from the players citing it was a bug, or raising the price on the micro transactions but not giving the players more in each pack is just a few examples of how these “developers” treat their player base. This game could be so awesome but it’s painfully obvious that the people that make this game don’t play it. If you read this far and your still on the fence about downloading do yourself a favor and play a different game.

One every other month on an average paycheck to paycheck salary to compete. It’s a phenomenal idea

After entering the game, the daily special interface cannot be closed.

Might have been fun; don’t know. It made me play this stupid mini game every time I tried to build anything. And if I just got out of the mini game it cancelled my build order. So basically you can’t do anything without wasting your time on a mindless mini game. I honestly can’t think of a more useless game mechanic. Zero stars if I could…

I can’t do anything

It was the best game ever 10 years ago. Its pure money now. They’ve added so much to it that its beyond confusing. Anything good costs tons of money. Greed ruined this game. Anyone still playing and spending money have very little intelligence just like the game devs.
