Etsy Seller: Manage Your Shop

I’m hoping the developer team sees this instead of an AI chatbot- there is a bug with adjusting the thumbnail. When you click “publish changes” the icon reverts back to all zoomed out, or worse, zooms far in to the left side of the photo. I have tried two different browsers so it must be the Etsy site. This has been going on for months intermittently but today it is doing this every single time. Weirdly enough it usually works on the 10th or so try, but it’s such a waste of time. Please fix :(

The Etsy Seller app has been an invaluable tool for helping to manage my shop. It’s user-friendly, efficient, and offers all the key features I need to stay on top of orders, communicate with customers, and update listings on the go!

Drop shippers run the platform, their support for sellers is basically non existent and they will claim your stuff and ban your account with no real appeals process that means anything. If you’re a real small business consider other platforms.

As a small business owner, I was excited to grow my brand on Etsy, but unfortunately, my experience has been disappointing. I encountered competitor scams aimed at lowering my shop’s visibility by posting misleading reviews with photos of products that weren’t even mine. Despite providing evidence that the products in question were from other shops, Etsy refused to remove the false reviews, citing policies that protect “consumer opinion” – even if that opinion is based on misinformation. For sellers in niche markets or from underrepresented backgrounds, this lack of protection creates an unsafe and unfair environment. I had hoped Etsy would stand by its sellers, but it seems the platform is more interested in avoiding involvement, even when scams are clearly damaging small businesses. I’m now moving my products to safer platforms that prioritize the well-being of their sellers. If you’re a small business owner looking for long-term stability, I’d recommend exploring alternatives.

I signed up with Apple private relay, and due to their limits, that account got cancelled. Now I have no way to access my own seller account, despite all attempts to contact Etsy support to verify that I own it and months of jumping through their hoops. Seriously garbage platform, and I will be taking my products elsewhere to sell from now on. Got a developer response with as worthless a help as the app itself is. Just a link to the help center which has completely ghosted me and is no longer responding to my requests. Honestly, companies like you should be ashamed of yourselves.

Getting in touch with someone about anything regarding your account is impossible. They’ll close and suspend your account with no reasoning and no explanation. I got married and needed to update my name and they refuse to do so saying that my driver’s license wasn’t sufficient but won’t tell me what document is needed.
